Re: LDAP Groups - Where to Start

A scheduled update would be faster. Checking live on almost every page load would make your forum much slower. That's a good point, it wouldn't just be at login like the current ldap authentication. Do you know if there are any command-line example scripts that use the database back-end to stuff in...

LDAP Groups - Where to Start

Hi All, I need to add support to limit forums to be viewed and edited by certain LDAP groups only. After checking to make sure there is no other existing mod out there, I've come up w/ two possible directions: Have the authentication system do a live check of the LDAP group every time a forum is acc...

The converter will work on the data files alone. The only thing you may lose are the message view counts. These are stored in a .DB file, which can be very platform specific. So you may not be able to read the DB file on the new machine. Couldn't find a forum on your site to ask you this ... I'm ge...

I downloaded the converter ... and I'm wondering if the converter will work without the WebBBS forum scripts? I'm moving to a new host that has banned WebBBS, so I can't install it there. And I'm not sure the converter will run on the Windows2000 host I have now. BUT, if the converter just looks at...

WebBBS Converter

I need (am going to write if no one else has) a WebBBS converter. WebBBS is found at http://awsd.com/scripts/webbbs/ It describes itself as WebBBS is, as the name implies, a Web-based bulletin board. Unlike most other such boards, though, WebBBS stores messages as simple text files and creates HTML ...

I'm having the same problem ,and I think it's because the cookie field does not match the server.

Same Problem

A new message does not appear until I "Shift-Click-Refresh" . I'm guessing it's a server issue. A change to the browser settings is _not_ acceptable for a forum not devoted to programmers =]

Thanks!
