Blogger based on phpbb?

Has there been any thoughts to expand phpbb to include a blogger style format, where the admin posts on the main page, and each post can be linked to a thread, not unlike livejournal.com? Okay, the problem seems to be with the forums, and not with e-mail. I'm pretty sure I have e-mail verification turned off, but when myself or my test subject tries to create an account, then log in with that account, we get an invalid user name or password error. Any ideas?

old account data is in, and "no" is selected, yet my test subject still can not create an account. She says that it isn't giving her the message that an e-mail has been sent, so I'm wondering if the board is having trouble creating accounts

I'm using the mod BlackSoul downloaded from this site. Other than that, it's just like I downloaded, and the problem started before I installed the mod, because that was the first setting I changed

e-mail verification

Is there any way to turn off e-mail verification for new accounts? My boards don't seem to be able to access any e-mail account, SMTP or otherwise.

I'm thinking that the host added it, since they use a popup ad in exchange for hosting. Hopefully, their server won't do so again. Might make a note somewhere for future users of coolfreepages.com to delete that line of java code.

As an afterthought, I opened my config file and found the following, if it will help: <?php // // phpBB 2.x auto-generated config file // Do not change anything in this file! // $dbms = 'mysql'; $dbhost = 'localhost'; $dbname = 'DB_nac83280'; $dbuser = 'nac83280'; $dbpasswd = 'midgarde'; $table_pref...

Errors after successful installation.

I downloaded phpBB2, and uploaded it on a coolfreepages.com site. It uploaded and installed beautifully, and completely painlessly. However, once I download the config.php file, then upload it back to the site, and then try to access the boards, I get the following errors at the top of my page: Warn...
