Horizontal Line between posts, to separate them...

What file do I need to look in and edit to add a horizontal line between posts to separate them? Some of my members are having trouble with one post running into the next. Thanks in advance!

Re: I am an admin, but can't delete posts, not even my own...

Ahhhh....so in user's permissions, you can only select one role? You can't have full admin and full moderator, right?

Well, I tried again, and no matter what I do, I get this every time I try to delete one of my own posts, "You cannot delete posts in this forum.".

I am an admin, but can't delete posts, not even my own...

Ummm, what am I doing wrong? I am the board founder & admin, but I can't delete posts, not even my own. I have set my permissions to full admin, but I still can't delete posts...what am I doing wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I am thoroughly confused.

Re: Permission original!

No, all you have to do is go to the permissions page and remove all permissions, and all permissions will be reset to their default (original) settings as when the board was first installed...it's as simple as that.

Categories & Forums not showing up...

Ok, I am using the latest version of phpBB3 (3.0.2), and am having a problem with it. I have created all of my categories, and all of the forums in each category, but nothing is showing up on the forum index...what do I have to do to get them to show up? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Main page "news" tied into forum session?

Ok, I would like to have a news section on my site's index page, that can be logged into (using your forum name and password) and updated...is there an easy way to accomplish this? I know I will have to use the forum's session , but I am not familiar with the new 3.0 coding yet. Any help will be gre...

Re: Blocking email address domains from being used to register?

Thanks Steve, I think I have done well in stopping all spam thus far, but I have another question...what does it mean when a regular user who has admin powers has an (H) beside their name in the memberlist? I only noticed this after blocking a few email domains and one of my members uses one of the ...

Re: Problem adding random banner script to the header...

Does your javascript look similar to what Will Hough posted here? http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=456680 It is very similar, but I edited it to include a 2nd "impression" image... <script language="JavaScript"> <!-- function Random_Banner(){ // Images var rbBanner=new Array() rbBanne...

Re: Blocking email address domains from being used to register?

You can enter that directly in the database banlist table, although not in the ACP. BTW, you are wasting your time here. The RAC or Security Question MODs will stop all spam. I have both of them installed and I still get a large amount of spam (registration & posting) from human spammers. I have se...

Re: Problem adding random banner script to the header...

Well, I solved the problem by using JavaScript, but I would still like to know of a better, more efficient method of doing it. Placing the large amount of code in the otherwise small overall_header.tpl file seems overkill to me...there has to be a better way. Thanks in advance for any help you can p...

Problem adding random banner script to the header...

I am wanting to add a random banner script to the header of my forum, just under the header navigation menu, but I am unsure of how to go about it. I want to use a nice PHP script that I have, but you can't use a "<?php include" call inside template files (overall_header.tpl). Do I have to use a met...

Re: Blocking email address domains from being used to register?

I noticed you can only add wildcards in this format ( *@domain.com ), is there a way of adding double wildcards, like; ( *@domain.* )? As far as I can tell, you have to add an entry for each different suffix, such as; *@domain.com, *@domain.net, *@domain.org...and it would be much simpler and more e...
