I don't see that in the configuration section. I am in phpBB 2.0.20 - should I see it there? Is there anything I need to do to enable that option such that I see it?

Huh??? what am I missing here? I don't follow sorry! I simply copied the error message that appeared at the top of the page following my attempt to create a new user. I am not sure where in the ACP the visual confirmation setting is located. I have looked, obviously not hard enough, but can't locate...

Do you have SSH access to your www site server? If so you can use the mysqldump command to take a backup.

Not sure I fully understand what certain people not having access has to do with not being able to undertake a backup of your server?
