Re: user id variable in forum style

Thanks, While that's what I was asking for unfortunately that isn't what I should have been asking. This gives me the id of the currently logged in user. I can use this info somewhere else though so thanks! REVISED QUESTION: I'm trying to add a link to the "memberslist_view.html" file in the templat...

Re: upgrade to 3.0.5 now cannot logout completely

So here's the deal. A week ago or so i ran a command to clear the user table of erroneous accounts. Apparently the query was a little over zealous. I found the query on this forum somewhere. In any case it wiped out more then it should have and i didn't notice it because i stayed logged in the entir...

upgrade to 3.0.5 now cannot logout completely

I have 3 phpbb boards on a couple sites. I upgraded to the newest version on 2 of them. Those two boards are now not working. They were upgraded to the newest version from different veriosn but both were in the 3.x series. Users cannot log in, because it thinks that someone is logged in. It says log...

Email with attachments

I've looked around and cant find how to send emails with attachments. I've tried witting an external script to leverage phpbbs email since its correctly set up with my smtp server and my site is built on top of phpbb. In my current revision you can email fine, but you cant send attachments. I looked...

Re: Programatically Email

Thanks everyone, That did the trick. Here is the cleaned up version: function test_mail($arr_templ_vars,$templ,$to_addr,$fr_addr) { global $phpbb_root_path,$phpEx; include_once($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_messenger.' . $phpEx); $email_template = $templ; $messenger = new messenger(false); ...

Re: Programatically Email

Ok, pretty simple. Now this sends an email using the send_mail template (which is fine, but i may make my own that doesnt have any text). However the $message variable is blank (if i try to echo it out), i don't particularly care about this since i want a custom message in there anyway. SO after $me...

Programatically Email

I have my site built on top of phpbb and would like a little function to use phpbb's emailer to send messages to users (or potentially outside email addresses) under certain circumstances. I've searched but couldn't find what i wanted, i also looked in the files should i be using the function send()...

Re: [Alpha] User Blog Mod

Try enabling the DEBUG and DEBUG_EXTRA in the config.php file and see if you get an error running the installer or if it stays the blank page. I assume your talking about the config in the root install directory... I made the change and forced refresh the page, i was loggeed in as admin, and still ...

Re: Forum within site structure?

in order to make my site blend in i first made the fixed width the same and then played with the css and the "overall header" file. do that until it matches in. It takes a lot of playing around but it only took me a couple hours until it looked like part of my site and at the time i did that (I thin...
