Re: Why is it so hard?

Thanks, Kevin. I checked your path, and it was set to yes. Somehow in poking around in Advanced earlier, I got it fixed and they can post now. Copying forum permissions didn't do it, though. Earlier, I had to ALSO set it in the Advanced area you suggested. Sorry, Robert, I've been running this forum...

Re: Why is it so hard?

I checked and it was at zero. It has always been at zero. I also have the Newly Registered Users Group to Default at NO. At any rate, this member is not a newly registered member. I just don't understand why, when I copy permissions from another long-term forum, the permissions don't copy. It should...

Why is it so hard?

I created a new forum that all members will have viewing and posting access to. Yet when I copy permissions from another forum that all members have viewing and posting access to, it doesn't work. A member told me she tried to post but got a message that a mod had to approve her message. NONE of my ...

Re: Can someone give me the path to making new Administrator

Thank you. I did your first suggestion but didn't think about adding them as Founder. Now I have done that so we'll see if she now has full administrative permissions.

Thank you so much.

Can someone give me the path to making new Administrator

I am turning my forum over to someone else. I am trying to make that person Administrator with FULL permissions. I somehow managed to make that person Moderator, but I want her to have FULL permissions and I can't seem to find the exact path. Can someone please help?

Thanks so much.

Re: Upgrade to 3.0.6 messed up my Styles.

When I change the colors, I go into Styles>Theme>Edit. I change the banner via the cpanel.

I've only noticed the logodesc being the one not working as it previously worked.

Upgrade to 3.0.6 messed up my Styles.

I regularly change the theme and colors of my forum. Before the upgrade, setting the background color of logodesc changed the color around the body of the banner. Now that we've done the upgrade, it only changes the top half of the space around the banner. How can I change the entire space around th...

Custom NEW POSTS button

I use a custom NEW button which shows on the index page whenever a new post is made within that specific forum. I have created a sub-category within one of my forums. My custom NEW button is now showing in the sub-forum whenever the forum is opened, but it doesn't show on the Index page. How can I g...

Allowing Reg. Users to edit posts

I'm using subsilver 2. I'm trying to change just one forum to allow editing. I went to advanced settings and selected YES for editing, clicked submit, but they still can't edit.

The ACP is a maze. Can someone please tell me how I can allow editing in just one forum? I'm lost.

TIA

Re: Disable "forgot my password" function???

Wait, Wait, I see it's a removal. I'm using subsilver.

Let me see if I can find it.

Thanks.
