I went into includes/session.php and did a "print_r($ips)" on the 2 sections which deal with getting a users IP, both times it reported my real IP. But anywhere else in phpBB, like online list or ACP, it lists the proxy ...

Persistent logins

How does phpBB keep track of persistent logins?

I've been looking at the _sessions table and things disappear from there after the "session time out" setting, so are session_ids stored somewhere else for "automatic logins"?

Thanks

Re: URL bbcode

Yeh but you said that would change posts as they were submitted and they would be stuck like that! Anyway, i think i have found out why it wasnt working... the URLs in posts are: http://www.domain.co.uk/ Which is why they wernt getting converted as i wasnt looking for that... Thanks for your help an...

Re: URL bbcode

Aparently not, all links on forum.com stay as forum.com even log ins and such. Now this has got me a little confused, i am currently messing around in line 480 of includes/bbcode.php and i added an extra line to save some bits of info to a txt file. As the URL comes in to that general function it is...

Re: URL bbcode

I turned off the force URL settings and if you browse from forum.com then the links between the forums and topics all stay as forum.com, same with domain.com. So users can post and browse it normally but i was just wanting to add that URL function so that any user made links would also change like t...

Re: URL bbcode

No sorry let me try and expand. Let's say both domain.com and forum.com go to the same place (redundant domains basically). Say someone on domain.com makes a link to another post on domain.com and that would save as a normal post etc but then if someone viewed the post from forum.com, the URL domain...

Re: URL bbcode

Yeh, that's all i found, thought there would be more though. What im trying to do is replace "domain.co.uk" in urls to the current domain, because my forum is on multiple domains. I have tried putting str_replace("www.domain.co.uk", $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'], $url) in some different places and tried dif...
