Re: Preventing Spam in 3.0 [*Read First Post*]

In another Preventing Spam thread (which I can't seem to find...it was very lengthy) there was talk of a feature in 3.0.4 that set it so that new members had to get their first X posts approved by a moderator prior to their display on the forum. I can't seem to find this function :? Can someone poin...

Re: Error Updating From 3.0.0 to 3.0.4

thanks wired -- im in the same shoes as you! Thinking of updating from 3.0.0 to 3.0.4 but i am worried it will screw up the mods I have installed... :( On the other hand, I'm not sure how updates work; if they even affect your mods in the first place...Do you have any mods on your forum that were un...

Re: Registration Restriction

I personally disabled e-mail activation because quite frankly I don't care if they use a real e-mail address or not -- nothing I can do with it, and these days everyone is hesitant about giving out their email address due to spam :D Anywho, instead of maunally having to approve all new members yours...

Re: [RC] Snow on Forum Index 1.0.0

Thanks for the reply!

I opened up the snow.js file and there was an option as to how far the snow should fall...e.g. "pageheight" or "windowheight" -- I know very little about java so was wondering if one could input numerical values ? I will try it!

Re: [RC] Snow on Forum Index 1.0.0

Many thanks for this mod! :D Question though...I would like to use the above issues to my benefit :D Is there any way to make it so the snow only falls within a certain top portion of the website? For example, on my site http://tucsondrivers.com/index.php I want the snow to only fall on the top-grey...

Hi all, I have managed to find a falling snowflakes mod for phpBB2.0 using the search feature, but haven't been able to find a 3.x version... could anyone help me find / create a code that would add falling snowflakes (from /images/snowflake.gif) to the forum? alternatively, is it possible to contai...

Re: Removing Profile Fields in Viewprofile

Well, I guess remove is a loose-term for what I did :D I just eliminated any links to it via the main forum page. This is the only instance of the mod that I can see on the forum. I figure I can keep it in tact in the FTP directory, and if i wish to re-add, I can just add the links in later. That wa...
