Re: Security problem: One user accidentally gets access to other people's accounts!

Thank you for your answers! After a day of testing, the problem turned out to be caused by my hosting provider, and more specifically, their firewall which was caching requests, containing cookies. This resulted in mixed login sessions. Just like JimA suggested. I think this problem is resolved and ...

Re: quick reply not working

Hello, ehar110 ! I just saw your topic. Have you found a solution yet? Because I think that I found a fix for this bug . Please, have in mind that I'm not a member of the phpbb team and I'm not sure if my fix is correct! All I know is that I had absolutely identical problem as yours and this is my w...

Re: Quick reply option - pros and cons?

Thank you, Adam! You made a good point! There's a real possibility to turn the forum into a chat-room, instead of a place for serious comments.

Quick reply option - pros and cons?

I was wondering if I should turn on the quick reply option in my phpBB 3.0.7 or not. Does the quick reply reduces the server load and traffic, since at least 30-50% of the users will use it, instead of loading whole new .php page just for posting a reply with couple of words? Or maybe the quick repl...

Template files' encoding problem

Hello! I have a problem which I'm not sure how to fix. I'm with phpBB 3.0.6 and I have a custom subsilver2-based style in my forum. I have experience with HTML and CSS so I make all the template changes manually over the pure original files, downloaded from this site. I don't use any tools, WYSIWYG ...

Re: Avatars' directory is empty but in ACP it's 25MiB?

you say you have no path set? Try setting the correct paths which should be images/avatars/upload and images/avatars/gallery then purge the boards cache :) Wow, THANK YOU very much, karlsemple!!! It worked just like you said - I've just set the paths and the value went back to 0 bytes. :D I've remo...

Re: Avatars' directory is empty but in ACP it's 25MiB?

Checked - it's empty. :) Just an index.html file (~169 bytes). I've also checked the other directories: - avatars - empty, just the index. - gallery - empty, just the index. - upload - empty, just the index and .htaccess. By the way, I haven't set path to the directories where the avatars and the fi...

Re: Avatars' directory is empty but in ACP it's 25MiB?

Do you have Gallery avatars? Have you tried refreshing the boards cache via the ACP index? Both the Gallery and the Upload avatar options are disabled right from day one when I upgraded to phpBB 3. They've been always disabled. I've just cleared the cache via the ACP - nothing changed. The size is ...

How many pages a topic can have?

It's more a question than an actual issue, but I might evolve into a problem so I'd like to ask you for your advice. I have a 3.0.3 forum and there are few topics with more than 100 pages and more than 1500 posts in them. There is even a topic with 180 pages and more than 2500 posts inside. My quest...

Well, I had no choice so I've turned the sessions back to the DB! :x It may create problems, but it still works somehow!

Re: Forums can't be marked as read! Cookies problem?

4th day - no success. I've tried everything and don't know what to do next... :( How come this worked fine back in phpbb2 and it doesn't in phpbb3? I guess it's down to a simple tweak or something, but I just don't know where to check. I don't like to bump so much, but the users in my forum are comp...
