already tried that one and it doesn't seem to work with 3.0.11.

But thanks for the reply.

I have a version for 3.0.11 currently in the validation queue.

I can supply you the unvalidated version if you like, but there is not support for it unless until it is validated.

Re: Permission - read only topic title

You could also try "Force Login on Index" http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/force_login_on_index.php/ You can set it so people can view the index.php and viewforum.php but if they navigate to viewtopic.php they are required to login. This isn't a permission that can be set for individual users b...

Re: Separate Login and User Name

From testing yesterday it should send a password to the email of the account with an activation link.

Unless you click on the link, the new password wont work and you can still use the old one.

Re: Separate Login and User Name

The error is in ucp_remind.php for the password issue, although there are code changes that need to be done in ucp_resend.php as well for resending an activation code which need to be addressed. Will post up shortly what you need to change from 1.0.7 to correct the password reset issue. Open include...

Re: Separate Login and User Name

I must say this mod is a great extension for corporate environments and works really well, and arguably could be put back into the base software if there was something to easily turn separated user and login names on and off. Let me know if you want to roll this into the next version of the mod and...

Re: Force Login on index.php

If the Board is displaying "no forums", it would be more of a permissions issue as the MOD won't cause that to be displayed in any instance, where as incorrect permissions for a user / group will.

Re: Force Login on index.php

Hi, I'm using 1.0.10 and yep you've got it in one, it still forces them to login even when its disabled. I just copied the files across and did the file edits, same as any other mod. Anyway not too bothered about it if there's a way to put a message on the index page instead of displaying 'no forum...

Re: Force Login on index.php

I've installed this and it's good but two things: - The force login page on the ACP doesn't seem to work, it is activated whether it is set to yes or no in the control panel. - Is there a way to put a message on the index page telling them they have to login to see the forum? As some of my members ...

I think there were come code changes between 3.0.5 and 3.0.6 that may have affected the MOD, I can't remember exactly what they were at the moment. Version 1.0.6 worked on phpbb version 3.0.5, where as 1.0.7 needs 3.0.6 at a minimum.

Re: Separate Login and User Name

Firstly, Never install MODs on a live forum without testing beforehand on a localhost copy. It will save you and your users countless hours of misery, and if you do, take a backup of your files beforehand. At least you can FTP them back to the server if you cant access automod. Did your version of a...

Re: Separate Login and User Name

I haven't tested the mod with ACP Add User, I will test out and write up some instructions if compatible.

To answer the other question, the loginname field is a required field on the registration page.

Re: Force Login on index.php

Have a question .... How can I use Force Login on custom pages: ? Quickest way is to add the following after the session information in your custome php file, then enable it in the settings in the ACP. Ofcourse if you add it to more than 1 page then the ACP option will control all the custom pages ...
