Re: Stuck in 3.0.4 cnversion hell

Two suggestions: - check if this is a character set issue: a lot of the discussions regarding backing up and restoring from backup seem to have been centering on the fact that 3.0.4 defaults to utf-8 whereas prior versions of phpBB weren't. A lot of people seem to have been using latin-1 by default...

Re: Stuck in 3.0.4 cnversion hell

This is the same problem I had with BigDump, and I bypassed that entirely, maybe you can do the same? Here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=1465235 Sorry, the last post in that topic before I closed it. Well I tried to import manually from PHPMyAdmin and I get a different error....

Re: Using Google Analytics with forum --> doesn't work

Well not everyone is able to easily move their board to a later distro just because. Unfortunately some people have a lot of mods, users, and forum up time to worry about. I understand people should get to the latest release they can but we still need help with this issue on the version we already h...

Same error.. I'll post the error here as a jpeg. I'm attaching the source from my site with the change made. Now the values %7B%7E show in the actual template source but I still get the same error as before.

Re: Using Google Analytics with forum --> doesn't work

http://forum.medicinstudent.nu/ When I visit the forum, using Internet Explorer, I get the error message "Done, but with errors on page" in the lower left corner of the browser interface. There is an error in the google code that has been added to that page. Should be: <script type="text/javascript...

Thanks all for the replies. I'll try the modified patch command and if it doesn't work I'll go through the code changes again and see if I can figure out where it got broken.

Patch Files process from 2.0.22 to 2.0.23 results in nothing

So I've done updates on my board before and I do have command line access to my forum. (via Putty). Before I move any mods or updates onto my live forum I run them on my test server to make sure everything is copasetic with the multitude of mods I have installed. So the problem is when I tried doing...

Re: [2.0.6] FIND - Forum Integrated News Delivery - Input

I have an interesting issue with this software. It works excellent overall but I am inputting a feed that at times has several items with the same title. Its a video bot that outputs videos via an RSS feed and creates a still image of the video and a link to the video in a new thread. The problem I ...

Re: [2.0.6] FIND - Forum Integrated News Delivery - Input

Actually after talking this over with a friend of mine would updating the html_on variable allow the input to have html on for its insert or would it error out because html is off for the board? Here's the code I'm talking about: function insert_post( $message, $subject, $forum_id, $user_id, $user_n...

Re: [2.0.6] FIND - Forum Integrated News Delivery - Input

I have this mod installed on my test server and first let me say I'm very happy with it. One issue I have is the necessity of HTML. The news feed I am inputting requires HTML to be on for it to format properlly. I do not want to turn html on for the obvious reasons. The only way I have found around ...

Re: [29/11/06] phpBB Garage

Nevermind. I put some more work into it tonight and found that one of the lines of code did not have an updated path to an icon and was pointing at the default subsilver folder which did not contain the file it was looking for. All fixed now.
