Return Group IDS (Plural)

Hi In the PHP of PHPBB you can write: user->data['user_id'] to return the userid of the currently logged in user. I wanted to show the groups that the user is in so I guessed with: user->data['group_id'] and it returned the largest group id. However, I would like some way to view all the groups the ...

Re: Custom pages and breadcrumbs

Cool thanks, I just tried it and it looks fine for the first layer. I just need to alter it a little and implement it further. Also, in your code you have a slight type. You have put "generate_page_nav" and "generate_page S _nav" You just need to change one of these so they match...

Custom pages and breadcrumbs

I have searched high and low for the answer to this and can't find it anywhere. I have created a custom page (lets calls is test.php with the title "Test Page"). How do I get the breadcrumbs on that page to say "Index > Test Page". And it gets even more difficult. I have various ...

Re: [ALPHA] PHPBB remote control

Its not C++ or Python, its a html application (hta). It bascially means that you make a html file and then put on the extension .hta and its executable. As for security, I agree that it is a little risky at the moment. However, the application just uses a file that is on the web server so typing in ...

[ALPHA] PHPBB remote control

This is my first time I have released a MOD so please be nice to me. I know this MOD is no where near completion but as I have got it to a working state I think I shall release the first version of it: Description : PHPBB R.C. is an executable (.hta) that runs on a users computer. If run, it allows ...

Re: [Beta] Simple quick reply 0.1.2

Hey. I've got this to work, wasn't too hard. One adjustment you need to make though, I will try and find out how later. The quick reply doesn't send a title on so the post has no title. This is a problem when, on the front page you show the latest topics. There is no title so it looks like there is ...

Re: Config cache

Oh thats a shame. It only needs to be updated once every minuet, but now the db is queried every time someone goes to the front page... For large forums, caching this every min or so would take a lot of pressure off the db.. I might look into caching this.

Re: Config cache

I did look there and it does have a lot of arrays there but none containing the number of posts, number of topics or newest member.

Config cache

Iam just looking through the new PHPbb3 cache system but there is one thing that i can't find. The array $config contains a lot of information that is queried a lot including things like number of posts, number of topics etc. I cannot find whether or not this array is cached anywhere. I can't even f...

{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}

Where can I find the code that deals with {PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}? This is the variable that is replaced in the templates with the PM info for the logged in user. I've looked all over and can't find the code that corresponds to the output of this variable. Also, for future use, is there any way to se...

phpbb3 cache

I know that for large sites with dynamic content, caching is very important. So I was just wondering, how much does phpbb3 cache? Particularly, does it cache the statistics on the front page such as total posts, total members, members online etc.
