How do I know if my theme is 3.0.6 compatible?

Or do i just have to install it and see? I've used the same theme from 3.0.1 though 3.0.5 without problem.

I'd hate to upgrade and have it go wonky on me.

Re: phpbb 3.0.4 server performance

Thanks for the response Dog Cow. I do indeed see slow queries but we're talking about common executions like "View Topic" and "View Forum". I'm running a bridge to integrate with Joomla but aside from that this is an out of the box 3.0.4 installation that's been running fine for 6 months. I just can...

phpbb 3.0.4 server performance

We're currently running a moderately large phpbb 3.0.4 forum (220MB db, 126,000 posts, 3800 members, with an average of 25-45 online at any given time) on Siteground dedicated server. The configuration of my server is listed at http://www.siteground.com/dedicated_server_details.htm?dedt=18. My forum...

Re: Reds

Either something's wrong with the download link or there's some trick to installing this theme that I can't figure out. The package includes a file named "contr" instead of the normal "template" file. I've uploaded it 10 times and I can't get it to work (and yes, I have prosilver installed). Why doe...

Fulltext Mysql vs. Fulltext Native

Under what scenario would it be better to use Fulltext MySQL?

Thank you.

phpbb3_search_wordmatch query causing big problems

Can someone tell me what the following query is doing and why it would be bogging down my 3.0.4 forum? My host keeps telling me this query is extremely slow and causing problems. # Query_time: 20 Lock_time: 0 Rows_sent: 0 Rows_examined: 151 INSERT INTO phpbb3_search_wordmatch (post_id, word_id, titl...

Is phpbb3 THAT resource instensive?

Is it reasonable to think that a phpbb3 forum with 2,500 members and 15,000 daily page views would require a dedicated server? Siteground swears mine does. I just can't see it.

Does anybody here have phpbb communities with these numbers on a shared server? What host? Any problems?

Block AOL registrations

Is there any way to block registrations from people with AOL IPs?

I have a lot of abuse coming from AOL IPs. If I ban by IP, then a bunch of my current AOL members get booted off. I just want to cease allowing new registrations from AOL without affecting the current members.

Any advice?

Gotcha. Thank you very much.

No change is need for the path though since it's in the root, right?

Re: Logs in for 10 seconds then kicks back to the login screen..

So let me make sure I have this straight. Those who DON'T delete cookies after I make this change are going to have problems logging in. Even if they weren't having problems before. Is that correct?

Re: Logs in for 10 seconds then kicks back to the login screen..

Will this change have any effect on users who are currently NOT experiencing problems?

Do I need to refresh anything to make this update functional?
