easymod doesn't automatically run the required SQL queries. In the MOD file it should have some queries to run in phpMyAdmin, run them and it should be all good.

As Drexion said, the SMTP server probably requires authentication (there are not many open relays left nowdays), which phpBB doesn't support yet. If you try disabling SMTP it should just use PHP's mail() function which interacts with sendmail, which in most cases should work.

Neither of them. The file should be somewhere in templates/<your template>/, maybe "register_body" or something like that. If your using the default template it would be in templates/subSilver/.

And with easymod, installing MODs is even easier :). Most of those "pre-modded" phpBBs are packed full of MODs you won't need, and they are unsupported by the phpBB Group (I know because I'm ex-support team and the policy then was to only support copys of phpBB downloaded from this site). ...

Re: Has this been discussed?

I've added the attachment mod to my forum, I had to do it in 2 phases. After running into a couple of errors, I've finally got it going except for the admin attachment panel gives me this error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to comp...

Anyone done any progress on this yet? The code posted there is a bit sloppy for me. Basically, a news system like the one from ezPortal that revolves around the phpBB backend (like ezportal!), but can be simply inserted in my front page of my site without installing a portal that revolves around php...

By default phpBB only checks weather there is anything that needs pruning every 2 days or so. Go into the pruning CP and tell it to check for stuff that needs to be pruned every "1" days (everyday).

AFAIK there is no way (either included in phpBB or in a MOD) that you could use to prevent multiple accounts other than IP (and IP can be spoofed by using for eg. an open proxy).

nup, none of the phpBB development team(s) are on that projects team list yeah, that's what i thought. I wish they would call their phpBB-based portal something other than "phpBB Portal", as when the devs finally get their act together and release the real phpBB Portal it will confuse peo...

Hey, at least it's better than vBloatetin! The latest version of vB has the user information above (not on the side of) the post, that's 1 thing that really bugs me. Personaly, my opinion is I like the new style, but in some ways I like the old style a bit more because it's easier to integrate into ...

Project @ https://sourceforge.net/projects/phpbbportal/

Is the "phpBB Portal" project @ https://sourceforge.net/projects/phpbbportal/ official? Is it the official phpBB Portal that the devs have been talking about for a while, or is it just someone using the name phpBB on their portal system that revolves around phpBB?
