Updated to version 1.0.1 with popup selections. Along with...

Thank dmzx for stepping in and setting up the popup codes.

Re: [DEV] Font Awesome BBCode

Notice: We have noticed that the traffic on your board increases dramatically with this Fa-5 version. I would not advise using version 1.1.0 for Fa-5. Use version 1.0.0 for Fa-4.7 if you want to play with those. I'll make a popup for the 1.0.0 version for 4.7 and update. The icons need to show only...

Re: [DEV] Font Awesome BBCode

No, I am not running that ext. Do I have to? No you don't need that ext. Fa, fas and fab are in version 5 so yes those are suppose to be in the language file. In case you want to provide more options for the icons, here is a BBCode I have used (for FA 4.7) : That looks pretty nice Mr. Mrgoldy. That...

Re: [DEV] Font Awesome BBCode

The point dingus33 mentioned about breaking anything with updates is something which has always prevented me from using fa extensions. It should be fine. Fa 4.7 is installed on our phpbb board by default. This ext just over rides those settings. The 4.7 version should have been removed from the tem...

Re: [DEV] Font Awesome BBCode

yea, if you made an extension to get FA5 in phpBB (without breaking things!), i would definitely use it. Yes I have done it dingus33. I have it all together and working with the Font Awesome Free version. It ended up having 1487 Awesome icons to select from. We can't go Fa-Pro fo mo without paying....

Re: [DEV] Font Awesome BBCode

Thanks dingus33 , I read up on your link and a few links it lead to. That might be possible to setup. I'll toy around with that idea and see if I can whip up something that will pull all of those FA5 icons in. But with the different ways to write the FA5 icons in... It will be a task. Now warmweer ...

Re: [DEV] Font Awesome BBCode

This is the list I grabbed. http://astronautweb.co/snippet/font-awesome/ Will all of those 1531 free icons work in phpBB? Is Font-Awesome 4.7.0 even what phpBB uses? We can work on building the list if they are all compatible with phpBB's setup. Let's start with 585 icons for now. Fist post updated....

Re: [DEV] Font Awesome BBCode

No you are right Holger. I don't know all of the name either so you need a popup or a dropdown with selections. I searched for a list of names and found version 4.7.0 list online. It had 585 names listed so I added those. Then created an array to list all the names which are coded to show as an icon...

Re: How to display an array in template loop

So the 'GUEST_NAME' => $guest_name, name of the block is the issue? I don't understand the errors.

Ah... $this->template->assign_block_vars('guests', array(

Re: How to display an array in template loop

Thanks Paul. The directions I read up on said to use assign_block_vars but as soon as I change to that the site goes down. Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function phpbb\template\base::assign_block_vars(), 1 passed in /home/snipere/public_html/ext/sniper/guestlist/even...

How to display an array in template loop

Need a little understanding, trying to learn this... In the listener I'm trying to setup an array of names and assign a template var to use in a loop in the template. The listener public function page_header_after($event) { $guest = array("Mike","Jim","Pete"); foreach($guest as $guest_name) { $this-...
