Automatically banned users question

I've recently begun using this mod on my phpBB v. 2.0.22, and I'm already a very big fan. The only shortcoming I've found is in regards to how the "Number of offenses before user is automatically banned" setting works. I've tried setting this to a value of "1", and this seems to allow a single post ...

Viewing the Scheduler using a date range?

I've successfully installed TC on phpBB 2.0.22, and it seems to work perfectly. The only issue I have is with the Scheduler. While it appears to work as intended, it only shows events from a single day. I would like to allow the end-user to specify a range of dates while in the Scheduler, which woul...

Re: [Needed] Users can change their username # number of times.

Has there been any further development of this MOD? Allowing users to change their own username seems like a no-brainer, especially if they are limited in the number of times they can do this...

Thanks.

Are you still there, Noobarmy? Any further thoughts on my post from September 17?

Thanks...

Re: [RC] XData CPF [Custom Profile Fields (MMW)]

Well, we're getting a bit further each time. Now I get the error message: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in E:\phpBB2\includes\functions.php on line 225 Line 225 is: 'display_register' => XD_DISPLAY_NORMAL, Also, a question: The last part of your instructions indic...

Re: [RC] XData CPF [continued checkboxes issues]

noobarmy: I went ahead and added the code you instructed me to add to try and hard-code the checkboxes functionality I'm looking for. After making the change and hitting the forum end-user view, I got the following: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DOUBLE_ARROW, expecting T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUD...

Re: [RC] Approval MOD v2.0

If the order you described installing the MODs is critical, then I may be out of luck. I have a relatively clean install of phpBB 2.0.22, to which I've installed the Approval MOD successfully. Since then, I've been using the discussion board extensively, and now I wish to add the Announces MOD. You ...

Re: [RC] Approval MOD v2.0

Is there any trick to making this mod work with Announces Suite 3.0.2a? I've installed them both, and gotten SQL errors on viewtopic. The installation documents indicate they should work together...

Thanks for the assistance...

Re: [RC] XData CPF [Custom Profile Fields (MMW)]

Hey, Noobarmy... thanks for the guidance on the checkboxes. I'll give your recommendations a shot, and let you know what shakes out. On another question that may already have been asked: has there been any discussion regarding how to cause custom fields to show up on the user profile within phpBB? I...

Re: Request: Custom Admin E-mail Address?

This last suggestion is very, very close to what I'm looking for. Currently, depending on the e-mail client that receives the message, I either get something like this: From: My_companyname adminemail@company.com (this is what I get in Outlook, which tends to do the right thing when attempting to re...

Re: Request: Custom Admin E-mail Address?

Looks like no dice. I made the change, and although the e-mail made it through, anything besides the e-mail address itself is stripped out.

Could this be a function of the SMTP server I am using not maintaining the formatting of the outbound e-mail?

Re: Request: Custom Admin E-mail Address?

Alas, I gave it a shot, and it didn't work.

The response I got was:

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address

Request: Custom Admin E-mail Address?

I've asked this question over in the standard phpBB 2.0.x support forum, and have been told the vanilla install cannot handle this use case (somewhat amazing to me, but I digress...) I would to modify my installation so that the "From" header of the e-mails that are sent out by the system (i.e. PMs,...

Re: Custom Admin E-mail address?

I would like this to show up in the "From" header of the e-mails that are sent out by the system (i.e. PMs, welcome to new registrants). Something like this: To: newuser@someplace.com From: "My companyname" <adminemailaddress@company.com> Subject: Welcome to PHPBB-land Rather than this: To: newuser@...

Custom Admin E-mail address?

Hello. I've poked around on these forums looking for an answer, but haven't yet found one. Is it possible to customize the e-mail address for the administrator? I would like to have it appear as: "My Name" <address@company.com> I haven't been able to get this to work by simply putting in anything ot...
