If you are asking me, then yes, I've done several. I've written so in the posts above two times ;-)

Re: Severe RC7 errors: admin functions and register broken

Would you believe it, it actually did work. Many thanks, Bartth. Since this shows that my problems are definitively not related to not having replaced all files (which I have), but to my SQL database, does anyone know if I could apply a similar fix to resolve the user registration and ACP errors? I'...

Re: Severe RC7 errors: admin functions and register broken

Hi Ayjona, I had the same problem relating to the allow_post_flash config variable. I solved it by adding a record in the phpbb_config table (using phpmyadmin for example). config_name: allow_post_flash config_value: 0 is_dynamic: 1 Hope it works for you! I actually have phpMyAdmin installed, so I'...

Re: Severe RC7 errors: cannot post or save long post as admin

Could someone *please* help me out? I cannot post as an admin on my own forums, and new people can't register, and it is becoming a problem. Or, if the problem is beyond any of the support crew here, come into the thread and tell me that. Since I've done several complete re-installs, I will know the...

Re: Severe RC7 errors: cannot post or save long post as admin

I'm sorry to bump my own thread yet again, but since I really need help with this problem, I'm prepared to appear a bit... bump-y.

Is this problem a localized phenomenon? Are there no other users here who have experienced the same problem?

Re: Severe RC7 errors: cannot post or save long post as admin

Awfully sorry to bump my own topic, but I've tried the advice given above (complete reinstall), and it has not solved my problem. I've added some new info to the original post, and it would be great if someone could take another look at my problem.

Re: Severe RC7 errors: cannot post or save long posts, lines

Okay, clearly you didn't replace all the files since you were getting undefined function errors. That implies that there were missing functions in the files. You should: 1) Backup your current phpBB folder and database 2) Upload fresh RC7 copies of all files except config.php and overwrite the prev...

Severe RC7 errors: admin functions and register broken

After updating to RC7 (full install, replaced all previous files and mods, updated from RC1), I've received some rather weird and severe errors. These errors only occur when I post using my admin accounts. Regular forum members do not get them, and neither do I while testing out their permissions. W...

Re: [Beta] AJAX Chat/Shoutbox Mod

Greetings, Grooveplugs, and once again, thanks for a wonderful mod.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to decrease the width, increase the height, and place the shoutbox on the right side of my phpBB3 forum, parallell to the forum listings, and what I would have to edit to do this?

You know, the simple "Evil reply" has a very... uhm, not nice perhaps, but classy ring to it.

So make sure you are logged in and you have board founder status.
Yep, that made all the difference. Wonderful mod. Thanks, GroovePlugs.

Re: [Beta] AJAX Chat/Shoutbox Mod

Greetings, GroovePlugs. Try as I might, I can't get this mod to work. After doing all the uploading and editing, I keep getting this result when I try to access chat_install.php: Information NOT_AUTHORIZED Any idea what little gremling might be causing my problems? EDIT: I've tried setting all the p...

Hmm, does anyone know the answer to this? I dare not trust this new, wonderful forum system until I know for sure ;-)
