3.09 Styles Changes

Have there been any changes that need to be made to styles files to work with the new phpBB3.09 release? Not found any documentation about this so far.

Thanks

Re: HELP - "No valid article" on Viewforum / Index page

Problem over. Thanks to inspiration from Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot and Inspector Clouseau, I was able to track down that the Index page had been taken over by the TH23 CMS MOD. It seems that this page is selected to have CMS content written into it, but as there was "no valid article" that gav...

Re: HELP - "No valid article" on Viewforum / Index page

I tried putting the original index.php file back, and have tried switching styles. The message is the same with the original index.php file and in any style that I choose.

HELP - "No valid article" on Viewforum / Index page

I don't know how, but somehow I've lost my Index.php functionality in my development site - http://www.ukmartin.com/ I installed Board3 Portal, and all went well for a while. In my main menu, "Home" would take you to Portal.php and "News" would take you to Index.php/Viewforum.php. That was a few day...

Re: Problem with PNG borders in IE9

Problem sorted... Replaced some template files with those out of ProSilver SE. Then copied over the "critical" DIV's from my old overall_header.html file (e.g. Smart Menu etc) into the version from ProSilver, and BINGO! I did try the background-repeat:no-repeat, but that didn't make a difference. OK...

Re: Problem with PNG borders in IE9

Everything looks fine to me, except for repeating background image for "news index" links below header and in footer. This is the one line of code in the Overall Header that has News Index in it...can you tell me what's wrong with it please? <!-- ELSE --><li class="icon-home"><a href="{U_PORTAL}">H...

Re: facebook comments for phpbb ?

I can understand what Grayson11 is asking, although I think this ought to be directed at MOD creators. Facebook have a facility for posting comments onto Facebook from other sites. It looks like the facility is only available from fixed URL's though, which are manually input when creating the facili...

Problem with PNG borders in IE9

I have a style that is based on ProSilver which works well enough in it's 3.04 guise on this site - www.brummiesfans.com Well it works in everything other than IE6, due to PNG compatability issues in that broken browser, but we'll gloss over that.... However I am now updating the style, file by file...

Re: Database update tool

Thanks for that. Very helpful. I tried it, and the schema updated OK, but then I got the following error message... Updating data Progress :: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Fatal error: in /home/ukmarti/public_html/includes/db/dbal.php on line 694 Any idea how to get over this hurdle? Thanks Martin

Database update tool

Hi

Is there a quick and simple database updater tool that can be used to update a 3.04 database to work with phpBB 3.08?

Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Google Site Description needs improving

I'm not sure it is to do with the Portal itself. In overall_header.html, there are the following lines which seem to be at the centre of the problem: <meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" /> {META_TAG} {META} One of these points to more meta tags, one of which is the one showing <meta name="t...

Problem with viewforum_body.html file

Hi I wonder if anyone can help please? I have a problem with the viewforum_body file. Sometimes it works - e.g. http://www.brummiesfans.com/main/viewforum.php?f=14 and sometimes it doesn't - e.g. http://www.brummiesfans.com/main/viewforum.php?f=10 As you can see, the problem is that sometimes at the...
