Re: Oh lordy help! Hehe ...

Ok, long story short it worked. I see all my people, their passwords seem to work, the forums have the right names. None of the mods though. This is where my question may not be covered by these forums, and I apologize if that is the case, but, do I have to reinstall all of my mods? For that matter ...

Re: Oh lordy help! Hehe ...

I spoke too soon!

I get this when I click to convert.

"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log. "

Re: Oh lordy help! Hehe ...

Thanks a ton, rhythm, you're a life-saver. Let it be known that I have like 7 databases lol.

Time to remove phpBB3 and upload it again. *sigh* ... my FTP is going to punish me with slow times, I just know it.

Thanks again, you rock.

Re: Oh lordy help! Hehe ...

Nope, I found the culprit. The conversion effectively converted a very old 1.0.something version of phpBB (I don't know how, I didn't see it as an option in the convert screen), and my OLD admin name was needed. So, new question ... what can I do to port over everything in my 2.0? Would it be easier...

Re: Oh lordy help! Hehe ...

Nevermind. None of three names are working (I'm asking friends to debug with me).

Also, I went to have my password sent to me and it says no such user exists. Did something not transfer in the member files?

Re: Oh lordy help! Hehe ...

No dice. The installation instructions say not to delete that folder until you've logged in as your admin to make sure things are working alright. However, I tried it. It still doesn't know my name/password. I checked the email it sent me for the successful installation, and everything is right. The...

Forgotten password for Admin?

Hey guys, I just posted this in the wrong forums here lol ... I just converted from 2.0.something to 3.0.1 and when I go to see in as the Admin, it doesn't recognize my password. Also, clicking "forgot my password" only brings me back to the "these boards are not online yet" page. Any thoughts?

Oh lordy help! Hehe ...

Ok, so I'm not quite freaking out yet. I'm working on that though.

I did the install and the conversion and everything went swimmingly (or according to the install it did), but now when I go to sign in as the admin, it says it doesn't know my password.

Any idears?

Thanks everyone.

Re: [2.0.6] Custom Title MOD

Do you have access to PhpMyAdmin? I think that's what it's called, I haven't had to use mine much. It's possible that these databases are in there twice, though I hope not, because I couldn't even fathom how to tell you to safely remove any. I haven't had a reason to do such a thing. Perhaps an "adv...

Re: [2.0.6] Custom Title MOD

Here's the fun part, when I had errors like that (errors in appearance, not in function), I had to go through and manually check each file that effected that part of the board. You'll want to at least take a gander at: admin/admin_board.php includes/usercp_register.php includes/usercp_viewprofile.ph...

Re: [2.0.6] Custom Title MOD

What error message are you getting on the site itself? Is it giving you the Debug Error when you submit your profile?

Re: [2.0.6] Custom Title MOD

Ok, I'm going to post this here because others have suggested (on these boards) that this problem is most likely related to my Custom Title mod. I got the usercp_register problem fixed. I no longer get the SQL error 1064 when I submit a change to my profile, however, now when you click on the "galle...
