And if you plan on making one from scratch, knowing some of the basic variables gets you a long way.

I messaged the mod author about taking over the mod over a week ago, but no reply. The author has been on recently, however.

Code definitely doesn't fit phpBB3 coding guidelines. In several cases, you seem to be using code like.. if($_POST['b_enterpassword']) You need to use the isset function in most of these cases, like this.. if(isset($_POST['b_enterpassword'])) You have a tendency to write if / else / else if statemen...

Well the majority of the mods are actually completed.. I'd just feel better knowing I have the authors approval.

Are you alright with me heavily modding your mod for use on my website? I don't plan on distributing it or anything, but I just needed some code to base what I needed off of.

It can be a bit complicated, but can be done. I managed to knock out the index page before, and I had it looking exactly like it, but there was a lot of work left. Especially since IPB and phpBB has many differences.

I suppose once I get my site up in a few days I'll have it uploaded there.
