Now the cookie I get in my pc is different, but the problem remains. The problem is not my settings, as the link works in other foruns. The problem is not my forum, as the link works for other users, and even for myself when I use another pc. I'm completely puzzled. Maybe it's a session thing, could...

I'm having this exact same problem with the "view unread posts" link.
But it doesn't happen to everybody.
When I change computers the problem goes away.
At first I thought it had something to do with sessions, but I'm not quite sure of that.
The only thing I know is that it is quite annoying.

That's ok. I'm here to help, not to complain. You're doing me a favor, and that's great. I'll be testing your new code in the next couple of days. Edit: I added the y and now the db is being updated correctly. But I still don't have sticky posts. Edit2: I ahve checked the code and it looks fine. The...

Hi LifeIsPain, The table was changed correctly. I'm might have done something incorrectly when editind the code. Checking the box is doing nothing. And I'm using your code. I did not take the hidden from there. After editing a message, when I try to edit it again, I see the box unchecked. I edited t...

First, I have to say thank you for doing this! :D Second, it's not working for me. After I check the option and finish editing the post, nothing happens. If I edit the post again the checkbox is not checked. Also, there's something wrong this line: <input type="hidden" name="stickypostok" value="tru...

Merging messages/posts

I know there is a MOD that makes the merging of topics possible. But is there a way to merge messages? A lot of users post a message and right after that, they notice they forgot to post something. Instead of using the editing function of the forum to edit their post, they post a new message. I want...

I bet reopening a new topic with the post you want to see above is a much more simpliest solutions, and will provide quite the same functionnality. Not really. That's not even close to what I want. That would fill the forum with topics with the same subject. Which is something I don't like or want....

I think you guys are not reading the posts!! We don't want an sticky topic. We want a sticky message inside the topic. As I said is my last post, the first message of the topic would appear on the top of all pages of that topic. If you read that now, I think you should move it to "Mod Request" , sin...

I want this as well.
I need to have the first message of the topic stickied in all subsequent pages.

I never saw such a MOD, I believe we'll need to post this in "MOD Requests".

I'm not quite sure it is the database. I think it's not only the db's fault. Phpbb has something to do with it. Using the solution from the link I wrote above, the db is updated the way is supposed to be, but it leaves things that were not updated, screwing things up. I'm pretty worried now. Things ...

I have this exact same problem happening. In some topics when someone replies the browser doesn't load the normal reply page where you can redirect to the topic or the forum. The topic hangs and times out. The message actually gets posted but the forum does not notify the user and does not update th...
