Re: Converting Very Large phpBB 2->phpBB3 Slowdown

No luck with dropping the indexes, it still goes like 500/posts a minute when it goes over a million.

Re: PHPBB Integration

Add something like this to the top of the PHP File: define('IN_PHPBB', true); $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : './'; $phpEx = substr(strrchr(__FILE__, '.'), 1); include($phpbb_root_path . 'common.' . $phpEx); // Start session management $user->session_begin(); $aut...

ACP->Load Settings->Recompile stale style components

Set to Yes

Re: Displaying contents of a profile on another webpage

Are theses two webpages on the same site? Is the staff pages php or html? Your best bet if the staff pages are php and on the same site, you can include phpBB in the staff pages then do a couple sql queries.

Re: Moving to phpbb from googlegroups

That sounds like quite a challenge, I don't think this can be done easily, as google groups would most likely be proprietary (Unique system of storing posts and such). You can try asking Google for some help, although I doubt they would be able to help.

Re: Include PHPBB in PHP code

Your best bet for this is to create a style for phpBB, to make it look like your web design. Look at the Styles forum(LINK). Really, to add the overhead buttons you will need to edit overall_header.html.

Re: PHPBB Integration

For logging in, look at
$auth->login ();

For logging out, look at
$user->session_kill();

For adding users, look at
user_add (); in functions_user.php
