Re: php in overall_header

You are embedding the code fine, as far as we can tell. But your code does not produce any output as it as written. That is what we are trying to explain to your.... All it is doing is reading a file. It is not doing anything with that file after it reads it. Please excuse my confusion, but the cod...

Re: php in overall_header

So I guess my question is, now that I've got php in templates enabled in my phpbb security settings, what phpBB template code do I use in my overall_header to embed my own PHP code?

Re: php in overall_header

I'm not quite sure I understand, jelly doughnut, but I'm thinking about it...

Just to be clear, I am not a MOD author. I bought this application and am having a bit of a challenge getting it to work in phpBB.

Re: php in overall_header

Thank you both for your help. There are a few ways it will output code, but the "remote read" php code that I have working on a test .php page is this: <?php @readfile('http://www.rig-talk.com/mysimpleads/mysa_output.php?r='.$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'].'&h='.urlencode($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']...

php in overall_header

Is anybody using the mySimpleAds product with phpBB 3.0? I have the product working on a test page but getting the php ads to show in my header is whooping me and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to show up. I have enabled php in templates in the security settings by the way. In any event, I...

Banner script

Hello,

I just realized that the old thread I replied to is in a 2.x forum that probably doesn't get much traffic any longer.

Can anybody answer my question? http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5#p4126815

Thank you!

Re:

This will go in the body where your banner will be displayed: <a href="{U_INDEX}"><script language="JavaScript"> <!-- showImage(); //--> </script></a> I'm sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but how do I go about centering and positioning the portion that goes in the body so ...

Re: Mods installed?

Just download config.php, change the db password (ask your host how), and upload the new config.php with the new password. Should only lead to a minute or two of downtime :D Thanks again. I've already figured out how to change the db password, so I'll change the db password, upload the modified con...

Re: Mods installed?

It just occured to me that if I disable the board, I might not be able to get back in to re-enable it. :) Maybe I need to whip out the documentation... is there a direct link to the ACP or something? How do I get back in if the board is disabled (sorry for all the newbie questions)? Also, I see you ...

Re: Mods installed?

So I'm O.K. with the method I posted, and will just need to confirm the file permissions are set correctly on the config.php after overwriting, correct? Yes, that's correct :D[/quote] Good deal! O.K., next question: To disable the board prior to changing the password, do I go into the ACP's General...

Re: Mods installed?

Just be sure not to overwrite config.php :D I'm not sure I understand. What I planned on doing is bringing the board down, FTP the config.php to my computer, edit it and then upload/overwrite the config.php on the server. No good? Heh, that was a post from your thread earlier that I inadvertently s...
