Re: how do I change the font color of bold tags?

It will be in the styles folder, it should be style.css or something that ends in .css

Re: margin issues

I am on a military network, they block photobucket, that's why I can't see it. What's the url to your site so I can see what you are talking about?

Re: margin issues

Try editing the style and add some padding to the bottom of the text. The picture you posted isn't showing up BTW.

Code: Select all

padding-bottom:3px;
or however many pixels you need. Just be sure you are applying the style to the correct thing. If you post the code maybe we can better assist you.

Re: how do I change the font color of bold tags?

It would be found in the stylesheet of the template. Say you wanted to make something green: color:green; or something more bold: font-weight:bolder; Otherwise, if it's already set to black which is: color:#000000; Then the only way to get it darker is to either make it more bold, which only makes i...

Re: Portal Help

First of all, if you created that style, great job! Second:

I would bet that in your stylesheet you have the image repeated all the way down the page.

Re: Question!

Make the following change to memberlist_im.html in the styles folder and see if that works. ]<!-- IF U_ACP --><!-- IF S_SEND_ICQ --> <dl class="fields2"> <dt><label for="from">{L_IM_NAME}:</label></dt> <dd><input class="inputbox autowidth" type="text" name="from" id="from" size="20" /></dd> </dl> <d...

Re: Portal Help

Hmmm alright I'll go for board 3 then. Thanks so much for the help, just bear with me for a few more questions. Well one for now. Suppose I wanted to add a new box on the side, how would I go about this. Would I have to do php myself, or are there ways to implement these things? It should be as sim...

Re: Portal Help

Personally, I think board3 is nicer than phpbb portal.

I do not know if there are mods for portals, but if there are you won't find them on phpbb.com.

I've used phpBBportal, it is pretty simple to install and understand, never used any of the others.

Re: Forum Rules

On second thought, copy faq.php and rename it rules.php. Then insert this code: <?php /** * * @package phpBB3 * @version $Id: faq.php 8479 2008-03-29 00:22:48Z naderman $ * @copyright (c) 2005 phpBB Group * @license http://opensource.org/licenses/gpl-license.php GNU Public License * */ /** * @ignore...

Re: Forum Rules

The easiet thing to do is create a new Global Announcement and put your rules in there. However, you can also create a normal topic and then link to it from each forum. You could create a new page, and put the rules on that. Of course you will have to create a .php file and a corresponding template ...
