Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

Maybe an oddity with IOS? Sort of. But as I understand it, it's also an oddity in Android so basically >90% of the phone and tablet users will have this issue. We can't really ignore it than, can we? When I have some more spare time I'll try to fix the rotation in this extension. I'll quote you whe...

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

Cool, thanks, it is also rotated when I use most online image resizers, but when I look at the EXIF it says "Orientation : Rotate 90 CW", so you would imagine things would respect that. Maybe an oddity with IOS?

Supposed to be using ImageMagick, yes:

Zipped it up so there shouldn't be any manipulation

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

When I test it using images taken on a phone they appear sideways in the avatar. The same image posted on the forum is the correct orientation.

Re: [3.2][RC] Privacy Policy

This extension doesn't work anymore after upgrading to 3.2.2. The link to the policy in the navbar takes to a 404 page. EDIT: it's a "php.app and url rewrite problem" that manifested itself only after upgrade to 3.2.2... I get exactly the same in 3.2.3. When I have app rewrite turned on I get a 404...

Re: [3.2][ALPHA] EXIR - Exif Image Rotation

Just tested on my 3.2.3 forum (PHP 7.2). Used an iPhone 7 and both landscape and portrait images display as intended.

Nice work

Re: Image orientation in plupload, using EXIF

Lots of fantastic photography is portrait. Sure, plenty of people do it because they are lazy or don’t “get it”, but portrait photography definitely has it’s place.

Re: Image orientation in plupload, using EXIF

As far as I can tell, the issue of thumbnail images being rotated has not been "fixed" yet. I realize that some phpbb members/developers do not see this as a phpbb issue that needs fixin', but again I add my name to the chorus of phpbb board admins that don't care which piece (phpbb code, plupload ...

Ok, fixed it... for reference, if anyone else has the same issue it is down to strict mode in MYSQL 5.7:

0 results when search results displayed as topics

I have a 3.2.2 forum and when people search for posts in default mode they get results. If they select "display results as topics" they get 0 results every time.

Is there a way to debug this as everything looks to be setup ok so I'm stumped.

Thanks

By the looks of the code changes we can just overwrite the files, no need to delete data and re-install?

Mine is the GitHub master plus this change only: viewtopic.php?p=14990041#p14990041
Interesting, ErnadoO said that change wasn't needed for the github master version (unless I misunderstood). Will wait for him to clarify.

Re: [3.1][3.2][ALPHA] Quick Title Edition 2.0.0

Looks like I have it working, thanks to ErnadoO! I was previously running the downloaded version from the first page, but I have since installed ErnadoO's github master version and it works sweet. I am a bit confused though, as it seems these latest code replacements are not for that version. This m...
