We have recently started a new sub forum for posting our boiling and bratt pan threads/posts, but some are still in the sub forum for general equipment. I have found how to move the area around but am not sure how to move the posts between sub forums. The site is the forum in my signature. Thanks fo...
I would like to change some of the wording already there. Under our company name we have a 1 line description which I would like to alter, but not sure which file it is in. This is all new to me doing it myself and I was shocked to see just how many files there actually is for the forum. I still can...
Thanks for that Kevin, I can see the one clearly. I don't suppose you know how I can change some of the wording in the very top box on the homepage please?
I have already read the thread for adding content and keywords and think I understand it. I noticed that we have prosilver and subsilver2 loaded as styles and wanted to know if I need to change the details in both?
Hi, just a quick q about data bases. We recently moved from 2.0 to RC5 and uploaded our data base, which worked well. If we needed to upload data from a 2nd 2.0 site would this cause problems or over right our existing information?
Hi, I have recently changed to phpBB3 and for some reason the icon for email does not show in the posts. I have checked the board preferences and mine is set to (Users can contact by email - Yes).
Any ideas?
Also when transfering the data accross we lost about 10 members?
Thanks for that, I am very new to this but like to have a go sorting things myself before asking our web designer if still stumped. Its nice to be on a forum with so many experts. By the way your avatar is tops!
I have read the meta tags archive and can see that Google does not value them as much as they used to, but I would still like to add them if pos. My logic is everything keeps getting changed so I may as well sort them at the start. Trouble is I can't find where to add them. Any ideas please?
An impressive mod I have to say. What I am even more impressed about is the fact it is free as this is the best site I have ever been on for support. Many thanks.
I agrre, if phpBB is working well there is no need to pay out for a message board. Its very easy to get carried away on a site and spend more & more, eventually running a good site to pay for itself or worse making a loss.
Our web designer has asked us if we want him to write a mod which will ban a member, delete their details and any posts they have made in one click. Has this been done already? If not and anyone is interested I can post it when completed.
