Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

I think the only thing I'd add to your comment CHItA is Per https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/lawful-basis-for-processing/legitimate-interests/ Legitimate interest is a valid reason to store information. There is a reasonable expectation from u...

Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/lawful-basis-for-processing/legitimate-interests/ It is likely to be most appropriate where you use people’s data in ways they would reasonably expect and which have a minimal privacy impact, or where there is ...

Re: Moderation Queue and Private Messages not tracked correctly.

I've certainly not had any reports of this happening to other users.

If I sent and receive PM's the counts increment correctly, just their base value is wrong.

I mind spend some time at the weekend see if I can figure out how the database hangs together and write a query to recalculate the values.

Re: Moderation Queue and Private Messages not tracked correctly.

Incase others have this problem:

1, went away when someone posted into the forum in question. So it's resynced after that event occurred.

2, While my PM numbers are still wrong, it no longer shows that I have unread. (I simply marked all as read) so it's marginally less annoying now.

Disapproved Posts

So, a few years ago, I modded 3.0.x our forum so that disapproved posts / topics would contain the contents of the posts to give the user the opportunity to correct problems and re-post. https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=2119476 Is this something that can be done with 3.1 as well?...

Re: Post Disapproval with original message included in email

Thanks Noxwizard, Seems to work great. For anyone else interested in this, you may also want to alter: /language/{your_lang}/email/topic_disapproved.txt Also, after changing these templates, make sure your template cache is cleared and stale templates are recompiled. Admin -> General Tab -> Load Set...

Altering language/en/emails text files

Hi. Running phpBB 3.0.5 (running on a PHP 5 / MySQL 5 dedicated server) We run a moderation policy for new users on our board. It would be useful if the outgoing email for disapproved posts could be changed to include the contents of the post that was disapproved. I altered language/en/emai/post_dis...

Re: Post Count Requirements

Small issue that you may want to sort:
bypass Post Count Requirements:
This group and its members can access forums even if they do not have the required post count.
doesn't appear checked when it is infact enabled for a group.

Re: Human rights!

OK, not read though all of it but I think criminals have a couple of rights, they are: a) To fall and break their neck on the way out. b) To Shut the [cough] up. c) To spend the rest of their miserable life in prison. (should they survive leaving the property) d) To pay for every dime of damage to m...
