Re: Change post author?

To install that mod would probably take you 3 minutes, you edit 4 files and upload 2. <Sigh!> Maybe I'll give it a go, then. I'm just so tired of mods, though. I'm so ready to just "set it and forget it" for changes to the forum itself. You decide, want to risk messing up your database or do it thi...

Re: Change post author?

Please don't modify directly from the database - everything's connected in there, and modifying it directly could cause you problems later on. Use this MOD to change the author of a post http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=442698 :) Darn! Is there an easier way? I REALLY don't want to in...

Change post author?

I have a couple of posts on my forum that I wrote using my admin account. I want to change them to reflect my "ordinary user" account instead. Is this possible?

Re: Preventing SPAM - Bots and Humans [*Read the First Post!*]

You will not need VC, and you can set Activation to User. Thanks. I just turned off VC, and as soon as I figure out how to add a couple of extra fields into the registration, I'll set activation to User. (The two applicable mods for extra fields seem not be adequately supported by their current aut...

Re: Moving the confirmation code image

open templates/yourstyle/profile_add_body.tpl in your text editor only. Thanks! It took a little bit of trial and error, because your instructions actually just switch the explanation with the entry box. What I needed was to change this: <tr> <td class="row1" colspan="2" align="center"><span class=...

Moving the confirmation code image

Where do I go to move the visual confirmation code image BELOW the place in the registration screen where it asks the user to enter the code?

Re: Adding a line break

if you are going to be working with phpbb, you need a good text editor with a good search function. Got that, and been using it. what I do when I want to find something is open all of the phpbb files at the same time in my text editor. ALL the files AT ONCE? Are you serious? That seems like a heck ...

Thanks! It's almost working the way I want it to. Where is POSTER_NAME defined?

Adding a line break

How do I add a line break in the author info (left side) for a topic? For instance, I would like to have a blank line above and below the post count title to visually separate it from the username and the avatar. You can see what I mean here: http://squadron8.aggienetwork.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=4

Re: Question about Admin Toolkit

BTW, the toolkit v.2.1b is dated May 2007, but v.2.1 is dated March 2006?????? What's your point? Presumably he did some small change this year, and added the "b". Usually the b is beta, which would indicate that 2.1 is later (full release) than 2.1b. Furthermore, the security scan is telling me th...

Question about Admin Toolkit

The forums are down on the Admin Toolkit site, so I hope it's ok to ask a question here. I installed the toolkit (so far it seems to be just what I've been wanting) and looked at my user database. There is a user named Anonymous that I didn't expect, with a user ID of -1. It doesn't show up in the m...
