Brilliant, all is back to normal and the the world can breathe a sigh of relief.

Can I ask ya, is my current style which you changed for me an old style updated or a new style made to look like my old style ?

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

is there any reason I shouldn't continue with it ? If it's 11 versions out of date, yes. Try making a poll and voting in it. I did, it seems to be ok, but I won't use it if you think it's dodgy... Also, I've seen boards where people can no longer get to the admin panel and also, and probably most s...

[split from] Easy way to update old Style code?

Get FileMerge (for Mac, part of XCode package) or WinMerge (for Windows, google it), compare old and new styles, apply changes to your forum. I've a question Arty, I've had a style slightly modified called 3myl_sable for years but it's no longer compatible with the latest PHPBB and have been trying...

Re: General Error Template path could not be found: prob

Use the Support Toolkit to gain access then use the 'reset style' option to set your style to Prosilver. I rather foolishly went messing with styles and ended up with an error: General Error Template path could not be found: styles/proVista/template BACKTRACE FILE: (not given by php) LINE: (not giv...

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

Deleting those files from the Cache folder along with incremental installation and I got there, see image below. The style I was using all along (3myl_sable) seems to work ok, is there any reason I shouldn't continue with it ? Again, thanks Kevin, Robert and Oyabun1 for all your help ! http://i169.p...

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

still no luck installing any updated versions from Ver. 3.0.rc1 3.0.0 RC1 is an earlier version than 3.0.0. You should not have been able to update from a later version to an earlier version. I didn't know that, I just chose the earliest I could find. Are you sure your board was in fact 3.0.0 then?...

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

and no, there should not be any folders in the phpbb's cache folder. regardless, you can delete everything in that folder. you should keep the index.htm and the .htaccess files if they are there. robert Right, I've deleted the Cache folder in the Cache folder, still no luck installing any updated v...

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

Open the cache folder on the server and delete everything except index.htm and .htaccess (if you can see it). Then try 3.0.1 again. If there's no joy ask your hosts why it might be timing out. The updater from 3.0.0. to 3.0.RC1 worked !! I was in the process of downloading a backup of all the files...

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

Mobiquo is part of tapatalk so you probably need to update that as well. I could live without TapaTalk, I'll update that later, I was worried it was part of the problem. As you're trying to do a big update it might be better to get an older version and run just the database update file from that so...

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

By the way, you'll need to look at updating your style too. You might find a lot of issues if that's also 11 versions out of date. Thanks Kevin, I already have a similar style picked out and waiting in the Styles folder. :) I'm stuck in a bit of a loop, the Database Update has hung for the last cou...

Re: [split from] Upgrade question 3.0.0 to 3.0.11

Your FTP screenshot isn't showing the contents of a folder called /forum which is where your board apparently is. If that /install folder is in the right place your board will automatically go off line. http://www.gangsterbb.net/emoticons/banghead.gif http://www.gangsterbb.net/emoticons/banghead.gi...
