Re: [BETA] Topic Points 0.6.4 (MMW) (Updated 2006-11-20)

I've noticed that only rated topics with no replies seem to be coming up. Anyone have an idea what's going on?

Re: [BETA] Topic Points 0.6.4 (MMW) (Updated 2006-11-20)

I realize this mod isn't going to be updated or released. But I have it installed, and I like it. The one problem I have is how "Top rated topics" search is handled. The results don't seem to actually spit out top-rated topics. It includes some combination of negative-rated topics, positive-rated to...

Need help with this tagging mod

I found a great tagging mod, and have been in touch with the author. He unfortunately has no time or energy to spare, and has suggested I ask around about getting this mod working on my board. To begin with 2 tables are required to store the tagging information. It also utilises the built in search ...

Re: Posting Template

Works beautifully—thank you!

I use this mod to warn people that they are in forums with special rules. Much cleaner than setting up sub-templates, and members can't claim they "didn't see it".

Re: Posting Template

I installed this without a hitch, but would like the posting template to show up for replies as well. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

Help urgently needed re: Democracy mod (abandoned) and PMs

Hi there, I am having a bad situation with an essential (and very well-liked) mod that has a small but ugly bug. The Democracy Mod sends out a PM each time someone's reputation is modified, but the PM is sent out with a timestamp date many hours in the future. As a result, the user is unable to send...

Re: Installing phpbb2 locally: What am I doing wrong?

Hi all, Thanks for the input. I still can't figure out what is going on. I've tried a new database, new Db user, etc. etc. I originally installed WAMPP (?) and it could be that some things got screwed up during that time. Sigh. I may have to take Lumpy's suggestion and do the live board. I dislike t...

Re: Installing phpbb2 locally: What am I doing wrong?

I just can't find anything about this on the MAMP side of things. I know the servers are running and the database exists, but I just get a big fat critical error every time. What I'm trying to do is test out a new mod on a copy of my existing board. So there's also the question of, do I even need to...

Re: Installing phpbb2 locally: What am I doing wrong?

Already tried that, I'm afraid. And yes, as you can see from my original post, I created a new DB called "phpbb2".

Installing phpbb2 locally: What am I doing wrong?

I downloaded MAMP, put a fresh copy of phpbb in the designated folder ('phpBB2") in MAMP > htdocs and added a new database ("phpbb2"). I got to the installation page, then hit a brick wall. No matter what I've tried, I get a "phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database". Can someone poi...

Re: Moderator CP "Move" page forwards after few seconds

I have quite a few mods, and I suspect that's where the problem is. I personally don't have any kind of an accelerator or anything installed. I also get the same page forwarding behavior following postings.

Moderator CP "Move" page forwards after few seconds

Has anyone else experienced this weird issue? When moderators go to the CP, pick the threads and click "Move", the page they are taken to (with the pulldown for target forums and checkbox for "Leave shadow topic") will forward to the forum index after a few seconds. As a result, it takes some fast m...

Hi sorry not to reply earlier. I'm almost dead on my feet. I can't believe the mayhem. Re: PM attempts generating error messages

What a headache. The PMs in question are those generated by the Democracy Mod, alerting people to the fact that their reputation has changed. Right now, only the Madin (me) and a couple of moderators are handing these out, but within 2 weeks, a lot of members will have the ability to mod up and down...
