Re: Transfer forum to phpBB

nneonneo's crawler converters are astonishing to say the least. They are extremely effective and should convert your bulletin board, whilst also producing a database compatible with phpBB. In simple terms, yes it is possible to convert from ProBoards to phpBB. :)

All the best.

Re: Mybb Convert

Apologies I didn't bother checking, the zip I provided is what you posted with the install directory.

Find the correct converter and upload it to your phpBB root installation folder, then download the latest phpBB version and extract/upload only it's install directory.

Re: Mybb Convert

The problem is that the installer file does not exist. You deleted it after installing phpBB 3.0.12. Instead of installing phpBB, use the file I have attached below and when accessing the installer, select the "Convert" tab instead of "Install." The file I have attached below should be used with php...

Re: *IT IS POSSIBLE* ProBoards/Forums.net to phpBB?

I'm not aware of Forums.net, however please may I clear some information I'm missing with you? Firstly if my research is correct; to download a Forums.net database, you must have used their service for at least six months? If you're a ProBoards user, you can upgrade to Forums.net for $60 (or is that...

Re: VB 4.2.2 to PHPBB 3.0.12 ?

Yes, it is possible. Please see the converter vB 4.x to phpBB 3.0.11. I'd recommend you install phpBB 3.0.11, then upgrade to phpBB 3.0.12 to be safe.

All the best.

Re: CONVERT - from vBulletin 3.6.x to Phpbb3

To convert your version of vBulletin over to phpBB, you should use the vBulletin 3.x to phpBB3 converter. Yes it's old and dated 2009, but it still applies. The converter will successfully convert your board over to phpBB3. The main reason why there may not be as much activity with that thread, is t...

Re: IPB 2.0.4 to Phpbb 3.0.x

Try converting your IPB 2.0.4 database to SMF 2.0; there is an active converter titled "Invision 2 to SMF 2-0." Once you're on SMF, use the SMF to phpBB 3 converter . The SMF to phpBB converter was made to work with 3.0.9, and has been tested working on 3.0.11 too. When you're converting from SMF to...

Re: 2 different SMF 2.x installs to one PHPBB 3 install

Unfortunately I doubt that would work. I'd recommend converting to MyBB, and using their merge tool. Once you've merged your databases, you can then convert over to phpBB.

All the best.

Re: Migration from Kunena to phpBB

Indeed, the information should still be valid.

Unfortunately I never got round to creating a converter directly, as college life has gotten in the way for me. :| Apologies about that.

Re: Discuss phpBB-3.0.8 released

You can look at the code changes for subsilver2 . davidbcn and oleg-karow, if you require support, please start a new topic in the Support forums. Thanks! Sure, thanks for your assistance. Although it would have been great to get a guide on what to find, replace, add after and change for subsilver2...

Thank you for your response, however do you have any idea where I can get a copy of the same style changelog but for subsuilver2 based themes?

Kindest regards.

Re: Discuss phpBB-3.0.8 released

Hi there,

I don't think I've found anything on this, however are there any style changes from 3.0.7-PL1 and 3.0.8? If so, is it possible to find the changes within a document or something similar (as previously available from 3.0.6 to 3.0.7)? ;)

Kind regards and thank you.

Re: Can't login as admin after 3.0.7 from 2.0.19 conversion

Hi brihan, During conversions from phpBB 2 to phpBB 3 the passwords usually don't get transferred over. I believe that is due to the passwords being encrypted. Therefore, as you've figured out, you need to use the password recovery tool. Your board maybe automatically offline as your install directo...

Re: Convertor for Agora to phpBB3?

Hey there, I'll see if I can work on a converter for Agora to phpBB 3. There is however an alternative to convert Agora to phpBB 3 which may be simpler. The steps to this is to firstly convert your Agora forum to SMF 1.1.x then convert SMF to phpBB3 ( Agora -> SMF 1.1.x -> phpBB3 ). Firstly, to begi...
