RSS feeds

If you take a look at my site http://www.therealpatriot.net/cgi/forum you can see that there is a RSS feed at the top. However, I am having to manually update this 2-3 times a day. I don't know much about RSS feeds, is there a way to have this done automatically???

Re: What version of MySQL/PHPmyAdmin?

Those two things seem to be the only things I can find. Where in MyPhpAdmin or MySQLadmin can I find that info?

What version of MySQL/PHPmyAdmin?

I remember trying to install 3.0 awhile back on my site and couldn't because of the version of one of the above. Tried searching and couldn't find an answer. Will PHPBB 3.0 install with the following?

PHPmyAdmin 2.5.0
MySQL 4.0.13

TIA!

Merge Forums?

I looked around and all I could find was a bunch of people wanting to merge 2.0 with 3.0 or from one site to another etc. Is there a simple way to merge forum sections? For instance; under the category "Current Events" I have both News and Politics. I would like to just make a "News/Politics" forum ...

Re: Can't get my forum to launch. Poor instructions for noobs.

The reason is you must first turn on CGI (under your control panel on freeservers.com). Then, you must upload your forum to your /CGI folder.

Re: Avatars not working?

I appreciate the help but unfortunately, when I move the forum to the root folder and then use the index.html file supplied, it comes up with the error "PHP is not supported on this host"

So is there no way to make it work "IN" the CGI folder?

Re: Avatars not working?

OK... so I put a file called "Forum.html" with the code you suggested. However, it doesn't make any difference as far as the avatars :(

Re: Avatars not working?

When I put it in the root folder, and go to the site, it simply is a "list" of the files for the forum

If your host makes you put it there, best to find a new host. Also, images will not be called correctly from a CGI folder.
That stinks... so there is no work around other than paying out more cashish to change hosts? :(

Avatars not working?

Did a quick search and didn't come up with much. I have set my avatars to 150X150, at a max of 30k. However, even though my avatar uploads ok, it doesn't display in my profile or on the forums. Is this a problem with the template or ....? My page is at http://www.therealpatriot.net/cgi/forum My user...
