Re: Converting phpBB2 to BB3

I received an email recently from someone running this forum saying we see you're still running phpBB2 Be careful it's not a scammer trying to get you to pay for the work. We do not email people running 2x telling them to upgrade. I believe that was it because they offered to design templates for m...

Re: Converting phpBB2 to BB3

I received an email recently from someone running this forum saying we see you're still running phpBB2, etc. etc. etc. I do understand that eventually I will have to upgrade to BB3 especially since I have been reading the PHP6 is going to cause major problems with some scripts in BB2. I've ran BB3 o...

Re: user_email_hash not updated in user database?

So the possible fix you say should not be used on a live forum. So what are we suppose to do then because I'm having the same problem for members that have forgotten there password on accounts that have never been used prior to v3.6? Reactivation won't work, changing the password in the ACP then doi...

Re: Postnotices to groups

Everything has been working fine but today I posted some images in a post and then went to see what groups I sent this too and received this error message: General Error SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Unknown table 'g' in where clause [1109] SQL SELECT group_name FROM phpbb_groups WHERE g.group_id IN (262) O...

Re: Update Problem! "Connection failed, unable to change directo

Same here... last upgrade went fine through the FTP Update but this time it's just not working. And I've tried the update on two different forums and get the same error message on both:

Connection failed.
Unable to change directory.

Re: Postnotices to groups

Thanks... it looks like Version 2.0 of m2f is under development and will include not only phpBB3 but also made to work for the other forum software options.. So for now the ladies will have to deal with plain text. That might be a tough one for them. Thanks!

Re: Postnotices to groups

asinshesq... The Mod has been working great but I have another request. You should be able to tell this is actually not my question. Is there any way to change the font and type that comes out of the forum when we forward meeting minutes, etc? This just plain don't look good. I have to ask. I mean i...

Re: Postnotices to groups

I appreciate your getting this done for me when you did "asinshesq". It has been appreciated by many people on my corporate forum. Thanks for putting up with my problems. This is a definite 5 Star Mod. Perfect for corporations or groups of corporations that have need of many groups in thei...

Re: [RC] Postnotices to groups

I just uploaded a revised version 1.0.0 which you can get by clicking the link in the first post of this topic. The only change from version 0.0.2 (and from my original version 1.0.0) is the following change I made at dakotasurfer's suggestion so that the reply and from fields of the outgoing email...

Re: [RC] Postnotices to groups

It seems to work... if you remember from the beginning I actually removed a part from this mod because they don't want the members to have this board sig option. So as long as your first code always defaults to the user_name, user_email and user_sig then we're finally the way I need it. Thanks for t...

Re: [RC] Postnotices to groups

Forget about the last problem. I'm not implementing it unless I get a letter authorizing me to make those changes. But what I need for the email that gets sent out is to shift the responsibility for the email to the sender and not the board. It looks like you have the Site Name as the sender of the ...

Re: Custom Profile Fields For Admin

I've tried your little file change and it still doesn't do what I want it to. One more time with the explanation... I have created several custom profile fields: corporate_level title full_name address city_state_zip office_phone cell_phone custom_title company They all work fine but what I want is ...

Re: [RC] Postnotices to groups

They do have a reason but I can't post it in public. This is a very special group of people with special needs. I can explain to a point but the confidentiality agreement I signed limits what I can say.

Re: [RC] Postnotices to groups

Actually that's what you would think, and I had a very long discussion with these people for two hours this morning. They are all hidden groups because this involves anti-trust laws. But they want all members to have the option to see all groups hidden or not in the Group notice tab only. Actually I...
