Re: Trying to update - “Conflicting file merge modes are not correctly selected” msg

Thanks for your answers, Now, I better understand. Publishing a file with the auto-updater is rather confusing. We are certainly a lot to hope for an easy update because of it. Last question, now I know I've to restart my style from scratch. Are there some ways to do it an easier way with mods. For ...

Re: Trying to update - “Conflicting file merge modes are not correctly selected” msg

Yes, I know that the database (posts, members, etc.) will be OK. My concern is the layout changes I made in adapting the forum to my website. Every automatic update in 3.0 was OK, now I'd like to do it to update to 3.1 And if some files cause trouble, I'd like to have the files list, in order to che...

Re: Trying to update - “Conflicting file merge modes are not correctly selected” msg

But where does the problem come from ? And how to resolve it ?
There are various changes included in my forum, at least I'd like to know which files cause problems in order to find the conflicts there. I don't want to restart from scratch.

One forum on numerous databases

Hello, My web hosting service has limited database sizes and I just got an e-mail that the database where my phpbb board is has almost reached that size. I can have more databases, so I can send the older messages to a second database. I just wonder if it's possible to still access to all the messag...

Foe by default (for anonymous)

Is it possible to make a mod that enables the admin to set an user as “foe” by default, so the non-subscribers don't read his messages ? And only logged in users can see what he posts (except if they add him in their foes list, of course). So, I think that basically, the user would be a foe for the ...

Conversion and users languages

Hello, I have a phpbb2 forum available in 5 languages, but french and english are mainly used on it. I'm preparing it for Olympus and make lots of tests locally. I installed french and english on Olympus and when I converted my DB, all the users had the same default language and not their one (on ph...

Re: Local website testing / browsers question

Oh, that's great
It allows to test locally with the main browsers on my computer
And then, when the site is online, correct the bugs on the “minor” (or less used) ones and have pages OK for everybody :D
Thanks for the link
