Re: Color variants - There's something not clear...

Hello and sorry for my late response. Aero is gone, but I found out Elegance (from Arty) has color variants, so I took a look and now I understand better how it works. I didn't know it was possible to make a style inherit from another style that itself inherits from prosilver. Now with that, THE DAR...

Color variants - There's something not clear...

Hello ! I'm about to reboot all my style to make them compatible with 3.1.0 and since I see many users wanting the Prostylize grey version back, I'd like to make a bundle of color variants of my Stylize style. But...... There's something that is unclear in the styles submission policy Here is the pa...

IE6 finally drops under 5% of market share + Styles policy

Hello, Tonight I saw this article while googling about IE6's market share : http://techcrunch.com/2013/10/01/internet-explorer-6-market-share-finally-falls-under-5/ *Final Fantasy victory fanfare starts playing* As I'm about to update my phpBB styles for 3.0.12, I'm wondering if we can FINALLY drop ...

Re: Offical phpbb.com mobile app

That's a really cool news, for I replaced my aging 7-years-old feature phone with an Android smartphone, and we just toggled from ethernet to wireless for internet at home, so I can now browse without using 3g network (which isn't unlimited). And everywhere, wether in my relatives or in my cooking c...

Re: prosilver image buttons

true, but about half of boards are using a recolored prosilver, such as lucid lime, et cetera, and those image buttons look out of place, few people use prosilver when they can change it up. Subsilver2 too (lol for redundancy), has that problem even though it's not required. I, for one, believe in ...

Solved by a cleanup, please delete this topic

hello, Sorry if my request seems weird, but let me explain : I'm currently in charge of the GFX related stuff on a Belgian site-indexing forum (hosted on a Belgian server) and the admin has Russian friends. Lately, he added a "Announcements in English" section, then he submitted the link on Google R...

IE6 support for styles to be dropped soon ?

Hello, Following the recent news reporting that Microsoft will force Windows users to upgrade their Internet Explorer to the latest version , resulting in an expected sharper decrease of old versions. Will we soon have the choice to drop IE6 support (ex: PNG fixes, CSS hacks) in our styles that are ...

Re: [rant] Please use existing CSS classes in your MOD block

Great tutorial on colour cross-compatibility. I think this should be well publicized. One more thing: I would recommend to give specific examples of "correct" reuse of the default classes in certain MODs, and corresponding incorrect examples. But anyhow, even as it is, should be recommended reading...

Re: [rant] Please use existing CSS classes in your MOD block

I think one of the major reasons for this is, probably, the lack of proper documentation and tutorials/guides to help new mod writers to do it with the most appropriate guidelines in mind to facilitate this cross-style development. Good tutorials would probably help... As on a lot of other phpbb mo...

[rant] Please use existing CSS classes in your MOD blocks !

Hello, As a Style author, I come here for a little rant : For the sake of style authors and phpBB users, please use existing CSS classes in your blocks that are added by your MODs. Why, you'd ask me ? Because when these classes (.panel, .bg1, .bg2, .bg3, …) aren't used in your Mods, the blocks color...
