Re: Problem with front page validation when someone's logged in

That's sorted it. I don't know why I was looking in the wrong file, but live and learn. Thanks!

Maybe worth posting this as a bug fix?

Re: Problem with front page validation when someone's logged in

Ok, but again, it's generated code.. And it's also very hard to spot a missing space! Problem is, what's the fix? Playing with the viewonline.php doesn't have the desired results, I need to somehow get a space between the " and style, and these 2 parts are pulled together from different variables......

Re: Problem with front page validation when someone's logged in

I added the semi colon anyway and it's made no difference as expected.

But no, the semi colon is not required for end statements.

I still can't see what's wrong with it?

I might remove the inline and add it to the css file, see how it likes that.

Re: Problem with front page validation when someone's logged in

Ok, but that is generated code, I think from the lang_main file, nothing I've changed or added - is it worth checking the standard install?

Problem with front page validation when someone's logged in

I have a phpbb forum, version 2. something and I have the page validating as transitional, when no-one's logged in, but as soon as someone is logged in, it fails. I've narrowed it down to the 'who's online' part, that's generated using logged in users data. This is the generated code that validates....

Re: 'Number of posts' value drops...

No, pruning is off. I can do it manually if I want to, but as of yet I've not found a reason to.

It's only happened in the last couple of days and the forum itself is only about 5 months old.

'Number of posts' value drops...

I've done a quick search, but cannot find an answer that easily. The other day, our forum reached 300 posts. When I went back a couple of hours later, it showed 294 posts. Today, it went up a couple and upon another post of mine, it dropped to 289 posts. Can anyone explain what's happening and how I...

Re: GooglePuller

You should never need to submit any URL to any search engine. If your site is linked from another indexed page, it will be found. Your robots.txt file will allow / disallow any given crawlers, and every link it finds it will 'hold onto' for a while (it's called the sandbox) then come back later and ...
