Re: Change poster name in viewforum.php

why would you change a poster name in phpmyadmin? I would undo any changes you made and then change the poster name properly via the post details section of the forum where moderators can assign posts to different users and thus changing the post name :) Can I do that? There was a mod for that in v...

The new poster names appear in the messages but the old names still appear in viewforum.php How can I change this? I have tried: - resynchronising statistics + post counts - purging the ...

Go to the board index and click on 'Who is online'. Or browse to http://yourforum.com/viewonline.php ;)

Re: Running 2.x and 3.0 concurrently

Hi JimDog,
I did that without any problems. I moved the old board to a separate (hidden) folder and started a new one in the main folder. 3.0.0 created new database files and left the old ones intact. I can still view the old board, but messages posted after the conversion don't show up there.

Re: Reverting back to 2.0.x

I just read in a different topic that this feature is still there. ;)
Go to http://forumurl.com/viewonline.php or click on 'who is online'.

Re: Foreign characters got corrupted after upgrade/conversion

Strange. When I upgraded from 2.0.22 to 3.0.0 all the special characters in the forums stayed intact.
But on the custom pages that I have added to my forum they were messed up in the same way that you described. That was easily fixed though.

Re: It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image

My site is hosted by siteground. I've tried many things, but in the end the solution was very simple:
- In the cPanel select 'Hotlink protection'.
- enable 'Allow direct requests'. ;)

[request] only first post can be edited

Hi all,
Is it possible to allow users to modify the first post in a topic but not the other posts?
I need this feature in one of my subforums.

Re: Reverting back to 2.0.x

I am happy with 3.0.0 but one 2.0.22-feature that I miss is the list of who is viewing what page.

Re: Translating language-name in the add-member page

Hi PrebenDK, It should be quite simple. The register-form reads the folder names inside the language-folder. So you only have to change the name of the language_danish folder into language_dansk. Or if you can't change the folder name, create a new folder language_dansk. I haven't actually tested th...

Re: How To Turn On Recent Searches?

I would like to know that too. I can't find any reference to the 'recent searches' feature in the phpbb3 documentation.
