This works right now, I just haven't documented any of the modifications or packaged it up ( MODX ).
kber wrote:is it do not break adsence rules ?
It does not break any AdSense rules and complies with their Terms of Service.

Re: PHP Includes in templates

Also, besides enabling parsing PHP in templates, you should use the INCLUDEPHP statement. This should be of some help.

Re: Session from /forum/myfolder

It sounds like you need to change $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : './'; to $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : '../'; if PHPBB_ROOT_PATH is undefined. If it is defined, you'll have to override it and do something like: $phpbb_root_p...

Re: Help with a SQL query

You could use a nested query - Not sure how to explain it so I'll give you a short example. Say the query to print out viewtopic is something like this ( very crude example coming ). SELECT p.topic_id, p.message FROM phpbb_posts p LIMIT 0, 25 From what I can tell, this query will get you the user's ...

Re: PHPbb post import into external php page.

It sounds like what you're looking for is a phpBB3 portal. Google around for one you'd like, they usually have pretty detailed instructions on how to install them.

Here's a simple one.

Re: How to Use bbcode outside forum

Store the text with BBCode into the database by calling the generate_text_for_storage() function. Then, when you pull the text out of the database, use the generate_text_for_display() function to display it on a page, or decode_message() function to format the text so it can be edited.

Re: Using image in template file

Brf is explaining that the syntax you're using to generate the inline CSS is incorrect - You wouldn't assisn an <img> tag as the background-image source. So, you need to change the code that is generating the FORUM_BACKGROUND_IMG variable, so that instead of generating this string: <img src="./...

Re: Using image in template file

Template variables need to be enclosed in curly brackets, so you should be doing:

Code: Select all

<div class="forabg" style="background-image: url({FORUM_BACKGROUND_IMG});"></div>
Assuming you're setting the FORUM_BACKGROUND_IMG variable correctly.

Removing smilies from text pulled from DB

strip_bbcode() removes the BBCode, and I don't want to use a regex to pull off all the smilies. Is there a better way?

Prosilver's icon_search.gif - What code makes it display?

In prosilver the search box's input id is keywords and when it displays inside in the left the image "icon_search.gif" is displayed. I've been working on a modification and I accidentally altered the code that displays this icon in the input field. Does anybody know what the code is to dis...
