Re: Are you using Firefox 3?

But people have to remember, like the very site we're on, Firefox is open source so obviously it will have bugs and things that annoy people. You are right, but actually that's not because it's open source. That would only be a reason for it having less bugs because of faster discovery and repair. ...

Re: Problem with image sizes

Try opening up styles/*/theme/common.css and search for #wrapper. Change it's width (width: %px) to whatever you want it to be set at. Then go to ACP -> Styles -> Theme -> Refresh your theme. ;)

Re: Why would you remove the Powered by phpBB text?

I think it is mostly a sign of respect that is given---most users don't even read the footers. :P I know that WordPress doesn't really care if you remove their copyright footers, and there are many other ways of finding out if they are using WordPress anyways (looking at their RSS feed's source, for...

Re: Joomla - phpBB - WordPress

You should try the WPUnited Mod for phpBB3. It's still in a beta stage, but it is very effective. Again, the last update was in December and it is said on the download page that it goes UP to 3.0 RC8. I am not saying it isn't great software (I had used it on my own forums at one point in time), it ...

Re: A new era of spam?

I hope it will make it more difficult for spammers to register...however I am not very optimistic when they can trick CAPTCHA..... :cry: Try and make it as unique and stuff. If you ask what a Popsicle logically goes on, you would type "stick". I highly doubt that bots could figure this ou...

Make sure you clear both your browser and your forum's cache. I guess I forgot to mention that.

Re: A long, long request

I also have absolutely no idea what theme you are using--perhaps that will help me out, although I don't know why someone would release a theme that has text on it like that. (I could rant on how the theme directories are being polluted by some pretty horrible themes, but I don't feel like doing so).

Re: Joomla - phpBB - WordPress

http://www.wp-united.com/ WP-United hasn't been updated since last December---I wouldn't recommend using it. Although I am a die-hard WordPress lover, when it comes to integration with forums phpBB3 just isn't in the mix. I would just stick with Joomla and see what you can do to add things to that ...

Well, to resize the photos, you can go to this post for some CSS to add.

It kind of works---on a few sites it forgot my passwords, but I can always retype them in. Thanks, Frost. ;)

Re: Text wrap in code box?

Just doing this off the top of my head, but I think this might fix it:

Add to your stylesheet:

Code: Select all

.codecontent { text-wrap: suppress; }
Not a huge chance of it working, but worth a shot.

Re: Are you using Firefox 3?

Yes, I remember it does that too, as well as in some of the phpBB and WordPress admin pages. Oh how annoying that is. :D

If you find it, again please do post or PM me. ;)

Re: existing BBcodes how to...flash

Mousing over a BBCode gives you the information about it. Mousing over the flash tag gives you this:

Code: Select all

[flash=width,height]http://url[/flash]
