Re: phpbb 3.0.6 hacked?

So through injecting into another piece of software, on a separate account, with a separate database login they managed to reset my admin account on phpbb? Something doesn't add up?

Re: phpbb 3.0.6 hacked?

Sorry yes I did see these steps elsewhere on the forum but it was too late. I noticed the following: Attack had gone through my admin account, the password had been changed and then other Admins were changed via the ACP. Similarly, on PHPList, my admin account password had been changed. Both attacks...

phpbb 3.0.6 hacked?

Hello My site, running 3.0.6 was recently hacked. The hacker got into my admin account and edited the index_body file to redirect to his hacker site. He changed admins passwords and deleted various forums. On a separate site, hosted on the same server, he managed to hack my phplist installation, ver...

Re: [Feedback] If you have problems with 2.0.9

...The common.php problem is only affecting those people having register_globals set to on. IMO register_globals has nothing to do with it :) If you look at the code you will see that the fix only applies to people with register_globals set to 1, meaning that if it was set to 0 then the problem wou...

I was suffering from this problem too, but the above fix seems to have worked. I am now getting some threads which have, say, 6 pages - but upon clicking on page 6 am presented with "No posts exist for this topic".

Are they related in any way?

I'd just like to say...

Thanks a lot to the phpBB team, I've been using it since 2002 on my forum at [SPAM]. It's great (beats YaBB ;))!!

I've modified it by adding my own bb code and newsfader/HL server info and also some extra admin tools. I love phpBB :D

Keep up the good work, and I look forward to 2.2 :)

The users can access the board fine with browsers such as Mozilla, so I can't see it being a firewall/IP/DNS issue. Worth noting is that one user updated to service pack 2 on Windows XP which had a built in popup blocker. As far as I am aware, every page on phpBB has some popup code written in (for ...

Recent IE Update stopping users?

Hi, I have a popular phpBB at http://bbs.clandeadgoat.net It seems that after a recent IE update, some users (on XP) cannot access the forum, instead they either time out or only get the black background. I have a newsfader mod installed, and my own server status mod - and the board is updated with ...

Ban control

Hey

I am getting into PHP and making MODs, I was just wondering where is the ban control stuff stored? I want to make a MOD where you can ban an IP range but certain users can be exempt from the ban.

You do this in the template file, not the index.php Go to templates/yourtemplatename(subsilver is default)/index_body.tpl You will see some html kind of thin with some {VARIABLES_LIKE_THIS} Hopefully you can figure what is what (try rename the file to .html to see how it looks). Then you can adjust ...

What do they do? Just show the text face, a broken image, or nothing at all?

Make sure you have installed the smilie pack in the admin control panel, then go to smilies.
