Hey guys.. I am running phpBB 2.0.17 with a lot of mods.. Everything was working fine until one day I added a new forum and it didnt show up.. I added it again 15 times and it didnt show up. Yeah, if its not a MySQL issue (doesnt seem like it is) You should ofcourse first backup your files to a secure location, then wipe it, upload a new phpBB, restore your customized template and the config.php

That is if you dont have any major mods installed..

Oh im sorry, but what is the need to restore backup.. why cant he just save a backup and run the file?

I mean it seems redundant.

I dont think that would work because if the upgrades have SQL changes, then how would it overwrite them with the backup?

You should just do it the way you stated earlier. That should work, again, make sure you have a backup, and youll be fine :)
