Re: Preventing Spam in 3.0 [*Read First Post*]

You know what would be sweet? If phpBB had more flexibility in banning masks. While phpBB can ban IPs entire octets, banning hostnames isn't as flexible. If phpBB followed the same flexibility as IRC does in banning host masks, it would be much easier to really drill down to a specific part of the n...

Changing phpBB3 Authentication type

I've broken my forums by changing the phpBB authentication method. Could someone please tell me how to change it back to default via MySQL or CLI.

Much thanks!

Re: Automatically approve topic

I actually had a user already in DB. I guess since I am running this from the command line, not all the permission variables were set. After setting ...

Code: Select all

$user->data['is_registered'] = true;
... I got the result I wanted.

Much thanks evil for pointing out why this was failing for me.

How to get included in search + username color

I am inserting data into the phpBB DB. Unfortunately I have to do it using Python and am unable to use any of the APIs that may be available, so I have a couple questions ... 1. The posts I insert into the DB doesn't seem to get included in the search. We are currently using the Fulltext native back...
