Re: Who ordered Bertie Bear 3.0?

I'm sorry, but I don't think that statements like "wait and see" are appropriate here. Please remember that many of us send 28€ of our money more than half a year ago (December 2007 in my case) and that there is a contract of purchase created by this. The only information I as a customer ever since ...

Re: June 2008 Desktop Showcase

I usually keep my desktop background for more than a month as I normally always run an application which completely hides it from my view. But, well, here is a new one :): snapshot3.png I hoped to get KDE 4.1 up and running by today but the packages aren't read yet. So hopefully I'll have a KDE 4.1 ...

Re: Intergrating from a php site?

You need to pass $user->data['user_id'] instead of $user. The function requires the user_id, while $user is an object containing much more information then needed ;). Also, you can skip the array() part when calling the function for a single user (contrary to the example I gave, it's optional in thi...

Re: Intergrating from a php site?

Yes, if the third argument of group_memberships is set to true, the function will return a boolean value. Thus, $is_member will be either true or false.

Re: Intergrating from a php site?

includes/functions_user.php contains this function: /** * Obtain either the members of a specified group, the groups the specified user is subscribed to * or checking if a specified user is in a specified group. This function does not return pending memberships. * * Note: Never use this more than on...

Re: Intergrating from a php site?

You can obtain information about the current user by accessing the $user->data array. E.g. $user->data['user_id'] for the user id, $user->data['username'] for the username, ... The array's indices equal the column names of the phpbb_users table. Any page that uses the phpBB sessions will get disable...

Re: Theoretical forum/categories limit

There is a theoretical limit for the amount of forums, which will be hit when the forum_id reaches it's limit. For MySQL's mediumint (which is used for the primary key in the forums table) the maximum value is 16777215 . If you need more than that, you would have to change the primary key's definiti...

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

I've not yet been able to test the MOD on a clean 3.0.1 installation, but I'll do so this weekend and check if there are any issues with it.

By the way, the MOD is installed live on startrekguide.com where it's working fine so far and no major issues have appeared.

Re: SQL Error in mysql4?

The database schema is created by develop/create_schema_files.php. You can obtain the develop folder only by checking it out from SVN (http://code.phpbb.com/repositories/show/5). You can then replace phpBB's table creations in that file with yours, execute the script and get the created SQL code (fo...

Re: language token not working..

How do you use the language string? You have to pass it to sprintf before printing it to replace the %1$s placeholder with the actual username.

Code: Select all

$message = sprintf($user->lang['RP_USER_DISABLED'], $user->data['username']);
trigger_error($message);
