The links are redirected to ./app.php/privacypolicy I have no idea how Facebook works but it may be that it is the sam...

Re: Intercept login process

It is not recommended that you edit core code but that you use extensions, which as you have posted in the Extension Writers Discussion form is what I am guessing that you are trying to do. I would suggest that you start by looking at the core.login_box_redirect event - or possibly one of the other ...

Re: Attachment Issue

I think I fixed it. In case someone else comes across this topic, as I did - the fix was that in the overall_footer.html , several of the brackets { and } were in the html as %7B and %7D , which obviously led to some loading errors, specifically with javascript. Fixing that addressed a couple other...

what should I check ?
A white page is generally a suppressed PHP error. Check your server error logs which you should be able to access from your control panel - if not ask your hosts for them.

Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

I would still contend that currently for the majority of users an IP address is not personal data, but I do accept that it is defined as such in the regulations. How can an IP address be personal when I can have it one day, somebody else tomorrow and somebody else the day after? How can an IP addres...

Re: Map or list of users where they subscribe them selves.

I am not exactly sure what it is that you want to do with this but have you looked at using an "open" User Group where members join by themselves?

If the UK is no longer a part of the EU then I doubt that it applies to them any more than it would to the US or any other country.
The UK is still in the EU and even when we leave all EU law will be made into UK law so GDPR will still apply.

Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

Let's just get a couple of points in perspective. 1. There is no way that on the 25th May that the GDPR "police" will be visiting every board and/or site that there is to check on compliance. I would be my last pound that the GDPR police will never visit 99.9% of sites. 2. 99.9% of board members nei...

Re: Safe Image hosting?

My advice would be to buy more space on your hosting account and host your own images/attachments - that way you are total control.

Nobody knows how long a third party will be in existence or how long it will be before they change their T&Cs
