Looking at that screenshot you are not using the default ACP style. Try switching back to the default style to see if you can then access permissions.

Does your site use a caching system such as Cloudflare?

There have been numerous reports on this board of users seeing other user's data when Cloudflare is used.

To answer the question - because nobody has created another one yet. There is plenty of discussion about the "new" style which is being planned over on area51 and I am sure the developers would more than welcome your contribution as you apparently have some views on how/where the style should be goi...

If you are in common.php then the root path is already defined in the $phpbb_root_path variable which you can use.

(p.s. - phpBB does not have threads, it has topics!)

Have you tried using $db->sql_like_expression() and $db->get_any_char() in your query?

I am not sure but I don't think that MATCH and AGAINST are dbal compatible
