he only relevant part seems to be the naming of L_ and LA_ variables because of the automated replacement in the template engine
And even those are depreciated now with the use of Twig

Re: What is the S_ prefix for template variables?

I suppose at the end of the day it does not really matter or make any difference to anything, and I cannot recall ever hearing of any mod/extension being denied for not using it

Re: Edit Notifications in UCP white screen

There should be a link to them on your hosting control panel - if not ask your hosts

Re: Edit Notifications in UCP white screen

A blank page is normally a suppressed PHP error - check your server error logs for a clue as to which file is causing the problem. In all probability you have a corrupt file.

Re: What is the S_ prefix for template variables?

But in this context isn't most (all?) system data a true/false switch?

Re: What is the S_ prefix for template variables?

I think it is "switch" - there is a list of them somewhere that I once saw, but just at the minute I cannot find it. It may even go back to phpBB2!

Re: Reparse cron job - do I need to disable it?

There are several cron jobs, other than the reparser, that run automatically - it may be one of those that is running.

Re: Keeping forum topics in order

But users can view topics in any order they want so even if you could "fix" them individual users may not see them in that order.

It would help in the future if you used GitHub (or similar) so that we can see the full picture and save time

Re: Nobody is using our new phpbb3 forum :(

Blows my mind, but what can I do... If people don't/won't use your board there is nothing that you can do about it. You could close your Yahoo groups down but all that would do would be to alienate your members and yes you might get a few to join your board but the others would just "disappear". It...

Re: 508 and 503 Errors after change in admin

Both of those are server errors so how your hosts can say it is nothing that they have done is just plain stupid. You say that they moved you to another server and then changed some settings and then your problems started - that is not coincidence. Go back to hosts and ask for level two support

Re: steamid phpbb_user column

Just adding a column to the users table will not make any difference unless you also have some way of inputting data to that column - irrespective of where it is/is not being displayed. What are you going to do with this new column's data once you have it in the database? Just having it in the datab...
