Re: Ruined my "new topic" section

That fixed it. Thanks a lot of taking the time to diagnose this problem.

Re: Ruined my "new topic" section

Yes, just tried that again. Refresh style does not fix the problem... Thanks for the idea.

Ruined my "new topic" section

For some reason, I've screwed up the graphics on my phpBB 3.0 board: http://www.openeichler.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=2 Note that the "New Topic" button is overwritten with the text "Post a New Topic" The only related change I can recall making was turning off the "title" of the board in the banner...

Re: Anti-Bot Question

Anyone have examples of other questions? I'm not too happy with my initial one, The colors of the US flag are, red, whte, and ? Choice 1 = blue Choice 2 = Blue Kerry First, the answer is case-insensitive. So even if they type in "bLUe" they would answer correctly. Second, I'd argue that you should ...

Re: colours.css, ACP editing, hiding forum name

The editor in the ACP edits the database stylesheet. The prefered way, at least for me, is to edit the css files and then "refresh" the theme from the ACP/styles/themes, which will pull the changes into the database. You can eliminate the forum name ... OK, forum name eliminated, thanks. Now as for...

colours.css, ACP editing, hiding forum name

Hi, A friend (who teaches graphic design) has designed a great banner for my soon-to-open phpbb 3.0 forum: openeichler.com. He's asked me to: #1: change foreground/background colors #2: Eliminate the name of the forum, as it is already listed in his gif. It seems that I can perform #1 by either dire...

Re: Getting close...

Have you both fixed your problems? Yes. My problem was self-inflicted. Put a portion of code into the wrong place. Thanks for the blank field fix. Questions: A) Is there a smarter way for me to maintain the documentation? Posting updates every few pages on this forum seems inappropriate. B) Do you ...

Anti-Bot Documentation

My thanks to the author of this mod. Here's my contribution: To reduce automated logins, the Anti-bot modification adds a moderator-configurable question to the user registration screen. Users can be forced to answer this question during registration. The question can have one or two case-insensitiv...

Re: Anti-Bot Question

Everything works perfectly except for the page ACP> General> Board Settings. Reviewing the mod, it appears that the only files that could have this impact are: includes/acp/acp_board.php language/en/acp/board.php If you leave those files in their original format and change everything else, is the A...

Re: Anti-Bot Question

I purged my cache and the problem still exists. Apparently I am missing something. Help! You must also refresh the template. From the Administration Control Panel, select the "Styles" tab. Select "templates" from the left hand column. Choose the "refresh" action on the right hand side. Did that help?

Getting close...

Hi, I've installed this well designed mod (manually) and I'm pretty close to getting it working. I'm able to create the questions in the admin panel, and I can see the question during registration. However, the answer text is pre-filled with the word "array" for some odd reason and the correct answe...
