I do not think I've ever seen a "create your own category" MOD for phpBB.

Interesting idea, but forum permissions would be tricky and possibly cause potential security risks.

Nope. Use the code provided in the first page, but not the downloadable code (ie: in the mod db). The code posted by the MOD Author as a follow-up is the code you want to use :mrgreen:

Oh, hey, check out how the Registration Email handles sprintf() to pass the board_name in the email that is sent out for registration confirmation!

Just dawned on me to refer you there to check out the code, as it does what I'm thinking.

What about user permissions? Does it show (or not show) based upon what permissions the user has?

That's 100% vital to what I need.
