Re: Ignore a thread

I can imagine a feature for users to mark topics to "ignore". That way, they won't show up as indicators for new posts. For instance; If there were a topic I'm not interested in (A), but in a forum with topics that I AM interested in (B), it would be nice if that new messages in topic A wouldn't mar...

Re: How to access $_SERVER in config.php?

AFAIK, you can access $_SERVER in config.php . You could simply do something like if (isset($_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR']) && $_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR'] == '127.0.0.1') { // Your local config } else { // production config } Since the $_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR'] is fully controlled by the server itself and you al...

Re: [3.2][BETA] FAQ Manager

It finally got it reproduced. Seems like you have some items deleted in that category? In that case the expected sort_order was out of line. I didn't take that scenario into account earlier.
That's why we have BETA's ;)

I have pushed an update to Github.

Re: [3.2][BETA] FAQ Manager

If the AJAX call returns FALSE, it seems that the move wasn't possible. That's usually only when you try to move the first entry up or the latest entry down. Those buttons are disabled by default. Could you run this query for me? SELECT faq_id, cat_id, sort_order FROM phpbb_faqmgr WHERE lang = 'nl';...

Re: BBcode bitfield and other serialized data

That's not entirely true. phpBB extensions are not allowed to use un|serialize() with user controlled data. Extensions are free to serialize any type of data they want using json_en|decode(). But you already knew that. :P Well actually the policy is still not very clear to me, which is why I simply...

But why is notification data serialized?
Fun fact: phpBB extensions are not allowed to use that: viewtopic.php?f=461&t=2411901

Re: [Request] Cascade deletions to quotes

I haven't fully looked into this extension, just the functions it uses, but the workings of this functionality are in here: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/quoted_where/ That (my) extension only changes the name in the quote. So if you were removed or have your name changed, above quot...

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

Maybe an oddity with IOS? Sort of. But as I understand it, it's also an oddity in Android so basically >90% of the phone and tablet users will have this issue. We can't really ignore it than, can we? When I have some more spare time I'll try to fix the rotation in this extension. I'll quote you whe...

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

Thanks!

I've set my test board (without this extension) to allow for 1300x1300px/10MB avatars and uploaded this file. It's also rotated.

Maybe I can alter the extension to also cope with this, but actually it's more of a phpBB bug than something else.

Re: [3.2][RC] Avatar Resize on upload

That's probably since the forum (post/pm) upload uses plupload while the avatar upload doesn't.

Is my assumption correct that you use ImageMagick on your board? If so, could you pass me the original file from the phone (through some filesharing service that doesn't touch the image itself)?

Re: [3.2][BETA] FAQ Manager

Sorry, can't reproduce this. I have installed it just now on a vanilla 3.2.3 board with no issues at all. You might want to completely remove the extension (also delete data) and download ad install the current development release from Github.

It works fine on 3.2.3. If it doesn't work for you then you should provide some more info than just that.

Re: [3.2][BETA] FAQ Manager

That is an improvement indeed, thanks. However, this suggests that somehow your anonymous user doesn't have a valid language (or English). Your change uses the fallback array, which is indeed intended for this.
