Re: Login problem

Just as an addition to this thread, I did have my settings completely correct but solved all my login troubles by leaving the cookies domain completely blank (not seen as a correct setting in my eyes) and then clearing cookies related to my site domain. After instructing all my users to do this, it ...

Re: Login problem

As I said before, I left cookie domain blank, instructed users to clear cookies and it's worked fine since.

Try it.

Re: Modifying the Banner/Link

It kind of depends on how much you are changing on a theme (completely re-desiging the look for example) but say for example you'd like to change the prosilver logo then this will work: Open up /styles/prosilver/template -> overall_header.html Look for this area: <div id="site-description"> <a href=...

Re: Auto Image Resizing

There is a way to do this easily, but it's not the prettiest. Until I move over the js mod I had on my old phpBB2 board I have been using CSS to resize the images. .content img { max-width: 600px; width: expression(this.width > 600 ? 600: true); } This statement will adjust any image over 600px to b...

Re: Login problem

I have a freshly installed PHPBB3 and I'm also having the log in problems after trying loads of different setting I still can't get users to stay logged in when they return to the forum. I managed to sort some of the constant logging out whilst posting by leaving the cookie domain blank and cookie ...

Re: Login problem

Any official word on this? I'm still stuck with hardly anyone being able to login, I wished I hadn't upgraded so quickly now.

Re: Not staying logged in?

This appears to be a common issue, some suggestions in here - http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5#p3831975

Although these fixes aren't working for everyone, might help you though.

I'm still plagued by it :(

Re: Login problem

Apparently it's been changed to Support Request. I'm not sure what that means as i'm not much of a user of these forums and site but I hope it gets looked at. :P

Re: Login problem

I've submitted it on the bug tracker, hopefully the development team can address this issue as it appears quite common now. Quite a serious one as well.

Re: NEED URGENT HELP...

Perhaps clear the phpBB3 database and start the converter again? It may have just failed that one time. If the sme thing happens again might be worth checking with your host? I wouldn't have though a 9mb database would take very long, or use much CPU to process either but then it depends what server...

Re: Login problem

I'm still having issues with this, if it is a cookie issue then I would wonder how come some people are logging in fine and some aren't? Also I randomly have trouble logging in. With regard to the db issue, I exported my phpBB3 database without the sessions, sessions_keys and config and then reinsta...

Re: Problems with users logging in - really need help

Thanks for the link. I've already looked at that thread and I did try emptying sessions tables but that didn't work. I noticed that two users mentioned skipping the tables during conversion. Now that I already have my database up and running (the pre-conversion one is out of date) is there anyway to...

Problems with users logging in - really need help

Your board's URL: http://www.interlopers.net/forum Version of phpBB3: 3.0.0 Was this a fresh install or a(n) update/upgrade/conversion (please be specific)? Conversion from phpbb 2.0.22 Was this an install through your host? Nope, I did it all MODs you have installed: None When the problem started:...

Re: High Server Load

Update to this, if I enable the website and leave the forum disabled it still happens about 5 minutes after the site is unsuspended. Just completely maxs the swap and RAM. phpBB3 can't be this resource hungry can it? There was about 4 poeple browsing the board on the most recent crash. Could it be t...
